As in previous weeks, today will be our regular roundup of speculations about future products from Apple's workshop. In addition to the iPhone 14 or a headset for augmented reality, today there will be talk, for example, about the fact that Apple may be preparing to release its own drone.

Will we see a drone from Apple?

In connection with the future production of Apple, there is talk about a whole range of products. There's talk of an autonomous electric car, an AR and VR headset, and even drone speculation this week. These were created on the basis of several patent applications that were recently revealed. Early disclosure of Apple's plans through patent filings is not unusual, as the relevant registries are completely public in the United States. However, the Cupertino company sometimes resorts to filing in another country for the sake of secrecy, which was also the case here. Apple registered the relevant patents in Singapore last year, which is why they came to light relatively late.

Apple drone patent

Among other things, the mentioned patents describe the method of pairing the drone with several different controllers, including a system that should allow the pairing to be changed. With this method, it could theoretically be possible to seamlessly transfer control of the drone from one controller to another. Another of the patents is related to the remote control of the drone using the mobile network. As it happens, none of the patents is very clear, and moreover, their very existence does not guarantee the realization of an apple drone, but the idea is very interesting.

SportsKit platform for  TV+

Along with how Apple develops its services -  TV+ included - it also expands their scope and offer. 9to5Mac Technology Server came with interesting news last week, according to which the Cupertino company is planning to include an offer for sports fans in its streaming service.

According to 9to5Mac, references to an application framework called SportsKit appeared in the developer beta version of the iOS 15.2 operating system. This is apparently still in the development stage, but it looks like it will be integrated with Apple TV, Siri and widgets on the desktop, which could continuously display data about the progress and results of various sports matches. Apple has been rumored to be bringing more sports content to its streaming platform  TV+ for a long time, and this theory is also supported by the fact that the company hired the former head of Amazon Prime Video's sports division last year.

iPhone 14 and AR headset with Wi-Fi 6E?

Well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said last week that Apple could introduce support for the Wi-Fi 14E protocol among other things in its future iPhone 6. The as yet unreleased augmented reality headset should also have the same feature. In his note to investors, Kuo states that Apple plans to integrate support for the said protocol into some of its devices over the next year.

The current 13-series iPhones, along with iPad Pros, offer support for 802.11ax and Wi-Fi 6 protocols. Kuo points out that Wi-Fi 6E also offers increased bandwidth, multi-channel support, and a number of other useful benefits, among other things.
