After a week, we bring you another summary of speculations related to the activities of Apple. Also this time we will talk about future apple products. There have been other reports talking about the possible arrival of iPads with OLED displays in 2023 – this time experts from Display Supply Chain Consultants came up with this claim. We will also be talking about future iPhones, but this time it will not be about this year's iPhones, but about the iPhone 14, which in all versions should have a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

The first iPad with an OLED display could come as early as 2023

Experts from Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) during the past week they agreed on that, that Apple will release its iPad with an OLED display in 2023. First, users should expect an iPad with a 10,9″ AMOLED display, with many analysts agreeing that it should be the iPad Air. The fact that Apple should come out with an iPad equipped with an OLED display has been talked about more and more recently. Currently, some iPhone models, as well as the Apple Watch, boast OLED displays, but iPads and some Macs should also see this type of display in the future. It was previously rumored that we could expect an iPad with an OLED display as early as next year, and this theory was also supported by the well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. He also said that the first iPad with an OLED display will most likely not be the iPad Pro, but the iPad Air, and that Apple will stick with mini-LED technology for its iPad Pros for some time to come. OLED technology is quite expensive, which may be the reason why Apple has only focused on a limited number of its products with this type of display until now.

Will future iPhones offer a higher refresh rate?

Last week, reports began to emerge that Apple could offer ProMotion technology, enabling a 2022Hz refresh rate, on all of its iPhone models in 120. This technology should debut in selected versions of this year's iPhone models. The fact that the iPhone 13 could offer a refresh rate of 120Hz has been mentioned by various sources for a long time, but in the case of this year's iPhones, this feature should be reserved exclusively for high-end models. This year, two different manufacturers will take care of the displays for this year's iPhones. For the LTPO displays of the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, the panels should be supplied by Samsung, which reportedly started their production already in May. LG should take care of the production of the displays for the base model iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini. In 2022, Apple should release two 6,1″ and two 6,7″ iPhones, and even in this case, Apple should supply Samsung and LG with the displays. In addition to the 120Hz refresh rate, the iPhone 14 is also rumored to feature a small "bullet" cutout instead of the classic cutout as we know it from current models.
