As the week draws to a close, we also bring you our regular roundup of Apple-related speculation. This time we will talk about three upcoming products – the iPhone 13 and its price, the new function of the future Apple Watch, and the fact that we could expect the first iPad with an OLED display as early as next year.

iPhone 13 price

We are less than three months away from the introduction of the new iPhones. As the Fall Keynote draws closer, more and more speculation, leaks and analysis are also emerging. One of the latest reports on the TrendForce server, for example, says that up to 223 million units of this year's iPhones could be produced. According to the report, Apple should also keep the prices of the new iPhones at the same level as last year's iPhone 12 series. The iPhone 13 should feature a slightly smaller notch at the top of the display compared to its predecessors, and it was supposed to be in iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max variants. This year's iPhones are expected to be equipped with the A15 chip, and TrendForce, unlike some other sources, denies the possibility of a 1TB storage variant. The iPhone 13 should of course also offer 5G connectivity.

Future Apple Watch could offer temperature measurement function

A newly revealed patent to Apple hints that future Apple Watch models could, among other things, also offer the function of measuring the body temperature of its owner. Apple always equips its smart watches with new health functions with each new generation – in connection with future models, there is talk, for example, of blood sugar level measurement and, now, also of temperature measurement. However, the latter function should not yet appear in the Apple Watch Series 7, but only in the model that will see the light of day next year.

Apple Watch Series 7 Features Concept:

The mentioned patent comes from 2019, and although its text does not contain a single mention of the Apple Watch, it is quite clear from the description that it is related to Apple smart watches. The patent states that wearable electronics have recently offered more and more functions for monitoring the health of their wearers, and that one of the key indicators of an individual's health is their body temperature. It also follows from the text of the patent that in the case of future Apple Watches, the wearer's body temperature should be measured using sensors attached to his skin.

iPad Air with OLED display

Around the middle of last week, the news that Apple is planning to release new iPads with an OLED display for next year spread across the Internet. Well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo came up with a report on this topic in March this year, and last week it was confirmed by The Elec server. While the iPad Air should see OLED displays next year, which should be available with a 10,86″ display, in 2023 Apple should release 11″ and 12,9″ OLED iPad Pro. It has been speculated that Apple could come out with tablets with OLED displays for a long time, but so far users have only received an iPad with a mini-LED display. But it is not just about changes in terms of displays - according to Bloomberg, Apple should also change the design of its iPads.
