After a week, on the pages of our magazine, we bring you yet another summary of speculations related to Apple. This time it will be about two interesting news – the leak of the M2 chip benchmark and information about the camera of the upcoming iPhone 15.

Apple M2 Max chip benchmark leak

Next year, Apple should introduce computers equipped with a new generation of Apple Silicon chips. It is clear that the MP Pro and MP Pro Max chips will offer higher performance than the previous generation, but more specific numbers have been shrouded in mystery until now. This week, however, leaks of the alleged benchmark of the aforementioned chipsets appeared on the Internet. So what performances can we most likely look forward to in the next models of apple computers?

In the Geekbench 5 tests, the M2 Max chip scored 1889 points in the case of a single core, and in the case of multiple cores it reached a score of 14586 points. As for the results of the current generation – that is, the M1 Max chip – it scored 1750 points in the single-core test and 12200 points in the multi-core test. Detailed specifications in the test results data revealed that the M2 Max chip should offer two more cores than the ten-core M1 Max. The very launch of Apple computers with new chips is still in the stars, but it is assumed that it should happen during the first quarter of this year, and most likely it should be 14″ and 16″ MacBook Pros.

iPhone 15 with an advanced image sensor

Interesting news also appeared this week in connection with the future iPhone 15. At the beginning of the week, the Nikkei website reported that the next generation of smartphones from Apple could be equipped with an advanced image sensor from the workshop of Sony, which should, among other things, guarantee a reduction in their cameras rates of underexposure and overexposure. The mentioned advanced image sensor from Sony is said to offer almost twice the level of signal saturation compared to current sensors.

Check out one of the iPhone 15 concepts:

Among the benefits that the implementation of these sensors could bring could be, among others, a significant improvement in taking portrait photos with a very brightly lit background. Sony is no newcomer to the field of image sensor production, and would like to gain up to 2025% market share by 60. However, it is not yet clear whether all models of the next iPhones will receive the new sensors, or perhaps only the Pro (Max) series.
