The fact that Valve is probably preparing new VR glasses was pointed out by a YouTuber named Brad Lynch. He noticed several different references to a device called "Deckard" in Valve's SteamVR code. Lynch later discovered the same references in Valve's recent patent applications.

So there is no doubt that Valve is developing a new virtual reality headset. The question is whether the upcoming device is intended for commercial sale.
