This week is quite rich in news, both in the field of software and hardware. In today's summary of the day, we will talk about two interesting news. One of them will be brand new Bluetooth headphones from Bang & Olufsen, which boast a luxurious design, great sound and really long life. Another news is the update of the web and desktop versions of the music streaming service Spotify, and we will also talk about the upcoming new game mode for Chromebooks.

Game mode in Chrome OS

If on the Jablíčkára website we cover operating systems other than macOS, iOS and iPadOS in our articles, then in most cases it is Windows. However, this time we will make an exception and talk about Chrome OS. Google, which owns this operating system, is reportedly planning to introduce a special mode called Game Mode. The operating system Chrome OS is especially praised for its flawless and excellent integration with services from Google, such as Gmail, Google Docs, Sheets and many others. Chrome OS is further used mainly in the field of education, but also in business.

However, Google recently stated that its Chrome OS operating system is reportedly also gaining popularity among gamers recently and would like to adapt it as much as possible. ChromeBoxed reported this week that Google is reportedly developing a new feature called Game Mode for Chromebooks. The mentioned mode should offer players adequate performance and conditions for comfortable and trouble-free gaming, but it could also offer functions such as sending private messages, recording screen content and more. At the same time, it should cooperate with the upcoming Borealis client within the game streaming service Steam. Google has reportedly been working with Valve for over a year now to bring Steam support to Chrome OS.

Improved web and desktop Spotify

A variety of improvements and introduction of new features is quite common for the mobile versions of the popular music streaming application Spotify. However, the web and desktop versions of Spotify have not usually received as much attention from creators. However, now, after a long time, it will receive news in the form of improvements. Starting today, a new update is starting to roll out to Spotify users around the world, which will significantly change the user interface of both variants. In its web and desktop versions, Spotify will see a cleaner and clearer user interface, a simplified home screen, a clearer sidebar and more sophisticated filters to help users better organize their music library. Another pleasing novelty should be a button to save music and podcasts or new tools for even better management of playlists. Users will be able to add captions to their playlists, upload images and move songs around using drag and drop functionality. Both the desktop and web version of Spotify will visually resemble the mobile version even more after the update, and users should find their way around it more easily.
