Leaks of upcoming products are not always necessarily the fault of leakers. Sometimes the company itself inadvertently intervenes in this direction. It was this inconvenience that Google encountered this week, which inadvertently published photos of its yet-to-be-released accessory from the Nest Cam product line on its official e-shop. In the second part of today's summary, after a long time, we will talk about WhatsApp, which recently launched the function of sending disappearing messages.

Google accidentally revealed the shape of its Nest cameras

Google inadvertently revealed the look of its yet-to-be-released Nest security cameras on its official e-shop this week. In January of this year, the company officially confirmed that it intends to introduce a new product line of its own Nest security cameras this year, but did not reveal the exact date. However, their unplanned momentary appearance on the Google e-shop suggests that the official presentation of these accessories might not be too far away.

Nest Cam leaked

The cameras have understandably already managed to disappear from Google's e-shop offer, but observant witnesses managed to note that they will be combined indoor and outdoor Nest Cam cameras, which will be powered by a battery, a Nest Cam camera with lighting, a Nest Cam indoor camera with by plugging into the mains and the Nest Doorbell on battery. This is not the first time that Google has managed to inadvertently reveal what products it is about to release in this way. In the case of the Nest Hub Max, there was an unplanned leak just weeks before it was officially unveiled. The mentioned security cameras and other devices look like useful and interesting additions to the current range from Google. The company has not yet officially commented on their appearance on its website.

WhatsApp is finally rolling out the 'disappearing' photos and videos feature

In the course of the last month, news began to appear on the Internet that the creators of the communication application WhatsApp are preparing to soon introduce a function in which users could set the automatic deletion of a sent photo or video immediately after the recipient views the given content. During this week, the mentioned function was officially put into operation and gradually all users around the world should see it. Anyone who has WhatsApp installed on their smartphone will soon be able (some already can) to send a message to any of their contacts in "View Once" mode, which means that the sent content will automatically disappear immediately after a single view. At the same time, the sender of the given message will be notified that the recipient has already viewed the given content.

However, the creators of WhatsApp warn users against sending intimate or otherwise sensitive or confidential photos and videos, and at the same time they also point out that there will be no way to prevent the other party from taking a screenshot on their device for disappearing messages. The sender will also have no way to find out if a screenshot has been taken. The disappearing message feature is intended to give users of the WhatsApp communication platform a bit more control over their privacy. Apparently, the function of disappearing messages should already be available in our country. If you send a photo or video in the WhatsApp application, you may notice an icon with a number in a circle in the test field for adding a caption. After clicking on it, you will see information about the new feature, and you can send a "one-off" photo or video without any worries.
