After a short hiatus, the PlayStation 5 game console is again being talked about. This time, however, it is not in connection with its unavailability or possible malfunctions. Sony has quietly started selling a new version of this game console in Australia. Just like yesterday, part of today's summary of the day will be dedicated to Jeff Bezos and his company Blue Origin. Dozens of key employees have been leaving here recently. Why is that so?

A redesigned version of the PlayStation 5 console in Australia

At the beginning of this week, Sony quietly launched - for now only in Australia - the sale of a redesigned model of its PlayStation 5 game console. This fact was first pointed out by the Australian server Press Start. According to the report on the mentioned site, the new version of the PlayStation is assembled in a slightly different way, and its base, among other things, is equipped with a special screw that does not require handling a screwdriver. The edges of the screw on the new version of the PlayStation 5 are serrated, so the screw can be easily and conveniently adjusted by hand only.

According to the Press Start server, the weight of the new version of the PlayStation 5 game console is about 300 grams lower than the original version, but it is not yet clear how Sony managed to achieve this lower weight. The current version of the PlayStation 5 sold in Australia carries the model designation CFI-1102A, while the original version carried the model designation CFI-1000. According to currently available reports, Australia is the first region where this modified model has been stocked. In addition to the modified version of the PlayStation 5 game console as such, a new test beta version of the corresponding software has also recently seen the light of day. This update includes, for example, support for built-in TV speakers, an improved function to recognize the difference between the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions of games, and several other novelties. It is not yet clear when the new version of PlayStation 5 will begin to spread to other countries of the world.

Blue Origin leaves some employees in a sign of disagreement with Jeff Bezos

In yesterday's summary of the day, we also informed you, among other things, that Jeff Bezos decided to file a lawsuit against the space agency NASA. The subject of this lawsuit is the contract that NASA entered into with Elon Musk's "space" company SpaceX. As part of this agreement, a new lunar module was to be developed and built. Jeff Bezos and his company Blue Origin were interested in participating in the construction of this module, but NASA preferred SpaceX, which Bezos doesn't like. However, Bezos' actions are not going down well with many of his Blue Origin employees. Not long after that Jeff Bezos looked into space, dozens of key employees began leaving Blue Origin. According to some reports, the said lawsuit may also contribute to the further outflow of employees.

In this context, the CNBC server reported that two of the key employees who left Blue Origin not long after Bezos' flight into space went to competing companies, namely Musk's company SpaceX and Firefly Aerospace. Bezos allegedly tried to motivate employees to stay with the company by paying a bonus of ten thousand dollars after his flight. The departure of Blue Origin employees is said to be due to their dissatisfaction with the actions of top management, bureaucracy and the behavior of Jeff Bezos.
