Do you enjoy the game Cyberpunk 2077 and would you like to play it in multiplayer mode as well? The creators of the mentioned game - the game studio CD Projekt Red - do not rule out this possibility, according to their own words, but we will have to wait for that some Friday. What we don't have to wait for is another competition for the popular audio chat platform Clubhouse - in addition to Facebook and Twitter, the professional network LinkedIn is also about to enter these waters soon. In today's summary of the past day, we will also talk about Facebook, this time in connection with the upcoming new tools that are supposed to give users more control over the displayed content.

Cyberpunk 2077 as multiplayer?

Cyberpunk is still a hot topic even several months after its launch. It was first talked about in connection with the CD Projekt Red data leak, and more recently in connection with a major update. Now, for a change, there is speculation that we might see a multiplayer mode in the future. These speculations were also confirmed at the beginning of the week by the head of the development studio CD Projekt Red, Adam Kiciński, who further stated in this context that the multiplayer release should be part of the comprehensive improvement of Cyberpunk. Kiciński also stated that the studio is working on creating online technology that will be integrated into the development of future games. The management of CD Projekt Red originally talked about Cyberpunk's multiplayer as a separate online project. However, we will almost certainly not see it in the foreseeable future - the studio management says that this year it still wants to focus more on improving the current version.

More competition for the Clubhouse

It seems that the competition for the popular audio chat application Clubouse has been almost torn apart lately - for example, Facebook or Twitter are preparing their own version of Clubhouse, and the professional network Linkedin has recently joined the list of competitors. Its management officially confirmed yesterday that the relevant audio chat platform is currently being tested. Unlike other platforms of this type, Linkedin's audio chat is primarily intended to connect those who are interested in professional cooperation, are looking for work or, conversely, employees. The management of Linkedin states that it decided to create an audio chat platform based on numerous suggestions from its users. The Clubhouse competition is by no means sleeping. Twitter is currently beta testing its platform called Twitter Spaces, Facebook is also working on a similar feature.

New Facebook feature

For several years now, Facebook has had to face constant criticism for its lax attitude towards the privacy of its users and how much (or little) control it gives them over how content is displayed on the social network. Facebook has now introduced a brand new feature to make it much easier for users to decide what kind of content will appear in their News Feed. The new function basically fulfills the role of a filter that can be easily controlled by the users themselves. They will thus be able to switch between algorithmically generated content, the latest posts and posts from popular users. The mentioned new feature is slowly starting to spread among users already this week. Owners of smartphones with the Android operating system will be among the first to see it in the respective application, a little later - estimated to be in the next few weeks - then iPhone owners will also come next. According to the statement of its management, Facebook is also planning other ways in the future to help them understand the way and laws of displaying content in their post channel.
