The world of IT is dynamic, constantly changing and, above all, quite hectic. After all, in addition to the daily wars between tech giants and politicians, there are regularly news that can take your breath away and somehow outline the trend that humanity could be heading for in the future. But keeping track of all the sources can be hellishly difficult, so we have prepared this section for you, where we will briefly summarize some of the most important news of the day and present the hottest daily topics circulating on the Internet.

The legendary Voyager 2 probe has not yet bid farewell to humanity

The coronavirus pandemic has undoubtedly claimed many lives and damages, both human and financial. However, it is often forgotten about projects that had started, which were suspended indefinitely for hygiene reasons, or from which hesitant investors ultimately preferred to back out and leave scientists in the lurch. Fortunately, this was not the case for NASA, which decided that after 47 long years, it would finally improve the hardware of individual antennas and try to make communication with probes traveling in space more efficient. Nevertheless, the pandemic significantly disrupted the scientists' plans, and even though the entire transition to newer models was supposed to take only a few weeks, in the end the process dragged on and engineers replaced antennas and satellites for 8 long months. One of the most famous probes, Voyager 2, trudged through space alone without being able to communicate with humanity as it had been.

The only satellite, namely the Deep Space Station 43 model, was shut down for repairs and the probe was thus left to the mercy of the cosmic darkness. Fortunately, however, it was not condemned to fly in a vacuum forever, as NASA finally put the satellites into operation on October 29 and sent several test commands to test and confirm Voyager 2's functionality. As expected, communication went without a problem, and the probe greeted the spacecraft again after 8 long months Earthlings. One way or another, although it may seem that this is a banality, after a relatively long time it is favorable news, which hopefully at least partially balances everything negative that has happened so far in 2020.

Facebook and Twitter will monitor not only misinformation, but also the statements of individual politicians

We have reported quite a lot about technology companies in recent days, especially in connection with the current political events in the United States, where the current president Donald Trump and the promising Democratic opponent Joe Biden are going to fight it out against each other in the heavyweight category. It is this battle that is being watched that is supposed to decide the future of the great power, and it is therefore not surprising that the representatives of the media giants are counting on external interventions, which will aim to confuse the voters and polarize the divided society even more with the help of disinformation. However, it is not only fake news coming from the ranks of illusive supporters of this or that candidate, but also the statements of the politicians themselves. They often claim a "guaranteed victory" even before the official election results are known. So both Facebook and Twitter will shine a light on similar premature cries and warn users against them.

And unfortunately, it's not just empty promises. For example, Donald Trump has explicitly mentioned that once he feels his sovereignty, he will immediately announce a definitive victory on Twitter, even though it may take several days for all the votes to be counted. After all, 96 million Americans have voted so far, representing roughly 45% of registered voters. Fortunately, tech companies have taken a sporting approach to the whole situation, and while they won't call out an over-enthusiastic candidate for lying or delete a tweet or status, a short message will appear under each of these posts informing users that the election is not over yet and official sources are still on the results they did not express. This is definitely great news that, with a bit of luck, will prevent the rapid spread of misinformation.

Elon Musk once again stirred the waters of the automotive industry with the Cybertruck

Do you still remember the absolutely insane presentation of the Cybertruck last year, when the legendary visionary Elon Musk asked one of the engineers to try to break the glass of the futuristic vehicle? If not, Elon will be happy to remind you of this smiling event. After a long time, the CEO of Tesla spoke again on Twitter, where one of the fans asked him when we will finally get some news about the Cybertruck. Although the billionaire might lie and deny it, he bluntly gave the world an approximate date and promised design changes. Specifically, from the mouth, or the keyboard of this genius, there was a rather pleasant message - we can look forward to the unveiling of the news in about a month.

However, Elon Musk did not share more detailed information. After all, Tesla doesn't have any PR department, so everything is explained to the community by the CEO himself, who really indulges in speculations and conjectures. The visionary has mentioned more than once that he would like to make the Cybertruck slightly smaller and more compliant with the regulations - whether he really managed to achieve this promise in the stars. In the same way, it seems that we should expect design changes that will somewhat improve the existing bold appearance and make this futuristic vehicle more decent and more usable in practice. We'll see if Elon keeps his promises and takes the world's breath away again after less than a year.
