Logitech recently announced the creation of its first iPhone gaming controller that uses Apple's new MFi standard. Now already on Twitter @ Evleaks — a channel that usually publishes news from all sorts of industries with astonishing precision and advance — have surfaced the first images of the finished product.

The photo of the new controller looks very believable and may even be an official product photo. Interestingly, Logitech left a hole for the camera lens on the back of the phone-mounted controller, thanks to which we will be able to use it while playing.

Apple allows manufacturers under the MFi program to create two different types of drivers in two different configurations. The controller always has pressure-sensitive buttons and is laid out according to a uniform pattern. The first type of controller wraps around the body of the iPhone and forms a single piece of game console with it. You can see this version above on the Logitech product. The second option for manufacturers is to create a separate controller that is connected to the iOS device via Bluetooth.

With the Logitech shown above, we can see the standard layout of the controls, but there will certainly be controllers using the second official option, the so-called Extended layout. In addition, side buttons and a pair of thumbsticks will be available for such a version of the controller. Other manufacturers rumored to be working on controllers for iOS devices include Moga and ClamCase.
