Apple has it set up perfectly. He will sell you the device and show you the services you can use with it. Of course, those services are his, and he will give you a trial period for each one, so that he can pamper you properly. Whether it's just 5GB of iCloud space or a month of Apple Arcade. But this ideal setting falls on one fundamental fact – the limitations of the services themselves.

First, some praise

Recently, Apple has greatly improved its iCloud, which he renamed iCloud+ in the paid version and provided him with useful security and privacy-focused features. In this regard, it is really a very useful service, which has shortcomings, especially in the Files app that saves your documents and other data.

Apple Music belongs to the top. It offers a truly rich library, regularly adds the latest global and domestic content, regularly updates playlists, and also offers lossless and surround sound. Without an extra fee. If the Music apps themselves were a little clearer, there would be nothing to complain about this service.

Now it's worse

Apple TV + it offers quality content, but it's not enough. Even though the addition of new things is gaining momentum and we get news almost every Friday, there are still few of them. Even if you only came to the platform now, there are still so few of them that you will look at it in a while and wait for a new one. The advice towards Apple, which he doesn't take to heart anyway, is clear. If it wants to increase its share in the VOD field, it must also make available in the subscription the content it currently offers for purchase or rental. There is simply nowhere else to move this service. Here it is simply about quantity.

Apple Arcade offers 200 titles, some of which are unique and original, while others are copies of old well-known classics. The first essential step should be to increase the number of titles, which of course depends on the agreement with the developers. The second step is to move to a real game stream where you don't have to install them. Only then will this service make sense. But will this step happen? Probably not, because Apple would also have to allow game streaming from platforms that include Google Stadia, Microsoft xCloud and others. It can simply be said that the games in Arcade must be fun enough for you to pay a monthly subscription for them.

What's next?

In the spring of last year, the company expanded its Apple Podcasts the possibility of adding paid content. So the creators create special episodes and the listeners pay them for them. Apple takes 30% of each subscription, and also wants annual fees from creators. In exchange, it gives them a semi-functional platform that often cannot be uploaded to new content. Therefore, it would be necessary to work not only on the application, but also to reevaluate your financial plan, which not only affects the creators themselves, but also the listeners. On other platforms (Patreon and Spotify, for that matter) they have the same thing for less money.

Apple News+ is a service that brings editor-reviewed news to users in supported countries. But it is not available here, just like Apple Fitness +, which is bound to Siri. When he speaks Czech with us, maybe we will see this service as well. Then there is the platform Apple Books, but not much is heard about, even though this service is also available in our country. And this is where Apple could come up with something new.

Of course, these are audiobooks that Apple already sells as part of Books, but it could switch to a subscription here, where it would offer you the entire library for one price. With this step, he could start competing with a popular platform, especially in the USA Amazon Audibles. In any respect, he doesn't have much to invent anymore, so he should focus on improving the existing one.
