Today, information appeared on the Internet about the upcoming 4th generation of the popular Powerbeats wireless headphones. The German website Winfuture managed to secure both an image of the new generation and a complete overview of the specifications.

The new generation of Powerbeats should offer up to 15 hours of battery life, which is 3 hours more than the currently sold generation that saw the light of day in 2016. The Powerbeats 4 will also offer a quick charge function, thanks to which the headphones will only need a five-minute stay for an hour of listening on the charger.

Powerbeats will see big changes inside as well, when Apple implements its headphone chips in this model as well. Specifically, it is a wireless microchip H1, which is found in, for example, the new AirPods (Pro) or Powerbeats Pro, thanks to which the headphones can deal with the Siri voice assistant or read received messages. As for the color options, the Powerbeats 4 should be available in white, black and red, and these exact colors have been leaked in the form of product photos, which you can view in the gallery below.

As for the price, there is no information about it yet. The 3rd generation is currently sold for NOK 5, and hopefully it will stay that way in the future. The upcoming generation of Powerbeats has been rumored for a long time. The first image appeared in January, when the headphone icon made its way into one of the iOS betas. Then, in February, an image of the headphones made its way into the FCC database, which in itself signaled that the start of sales was imminent. In connection with this, it is expected that Apple will announce the new Powerbeats at the upcoming keynote, which should take place at the end of March according to the original assumptions. However, it is largely unknown whether this will actually happen due to the coronavirus.
