A lot has happened in the IT world today. Sony's Future of Gaming conference starts in just an hour, where we will see the presentation of new games for PS5. In addition, the CEO of YouTube donated a huge amount of money to support black creators, and Joe Biden decided to urge Facebook to start controlling this year's presidential election in the United States. As for the fight against racism, Microsoft has also decided to take action. However, we must not forget about other global problems – for example, child abuse, which the biggest companies in the world are fighting against.

New games for the upcoming PlayStation 5

If you've been following the news regarding the new PlayStation 5, you probably haven't missed the upcoming Future of Gaming conference. It was originally supposed to take place last week, but due to the coronavirus situation, it had to be postponed - to today, specifically at 22:00 p.m. our time. The presentation of the new PlayStation 5 is already knocking on the door, but this conference is dedicated to the presentation of new games that everyone will be able to play on the upcoming PS5. The stream from this conference will traditionally be available in English on the Twitch platform. YouTube donates $100 million to black creators

The slogan Black Lives Matter, in Czech "black lives matter", has been around the world in the last few days, due to the killing of a black man, George Floyd, during a brutal police intervention. Various world societies have decided to fight racism, and in the United States there are huge protests, which unfortunately turned into looting and mass theft. In short, you can read about the slogan Black Lives Matter everywhere. One of the last steps in the fight against racism was taken by YouTube, or rather its executive director. He decided to dedicate a full 100 million dollars to support black creators on this platform.

Joe Biden urges Facebook

Joe Biden, American politician, Vice President and hot candidate for the President of the United States, urged Facebook today via Twitter. Biden is demanding that Facebook and other social networks review all posts, ads and information related to the election and candidates. Further, Biden states that he simply does not want a repeat of the situation of 2016, when various misinformation and false advertising appeared on social networks - this is why social networks should respond and start all this content that is in some way connected to this year's presidential election USA.

Microsoft has banned police from using its facial recognition software

One of the latest responses to the brutal police attack on George Floyd, which ended in his murder, comes from Microsoft. The tech powerhouse has decided to take similar steps as Amazon and IBM, which banned the government, police and similar institutions from using its technology. In the case of Microsoft, it is a ban on the use of its special software, which is designed for facial recognition. This prohibition applies primarily to the police. Microsoft states that its primary concern is to protect human rights. A Microsoft spokesperson notes that the company has not yet sold its facial recognition software to these authorities, and therefore requires a ban on its use. According to Microsoft, this ban is intended to last until certain federal regulations take effect.

Tech giants are fighting against child abuse

Racism is currently being fought all over the world - but it must be noted that this is not the only problem in the world. Unfortunately, the fight against racism cannot in any way prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, which humanity has not yet defeated - on the contrary. People have again started to gather in large groups as part of the protests, so the risk of transmission is simply huge. Therefore, it would not be surprising if, due to these protests (looting), a second wave of the spread of the coronavirus began in the USA, which can then of course spread further into the world. Of course, I don't mean to say that the fight against racism is not necessary, not at all - I just want to point out that there are still other global problems in the world that must not be forgotten. In this case, for example, the fight against child abuse can be mentioned. Apple, Amazon, Google, Facebook, Twitter and Microsoft have decided to fight child abuse. These companies, which form the so-called Technology Coalition (founded in 2006), came up with Project Protect, which has five phases. During these five phases, the Technology Coalition will strive to combat child abuse.
