The iPhone XR was presented at the September conference alongside the new iPhone XS and XS Max as a more affordable model in more color variants. It went on sale at the end of October, and our review aptly names the new phone with the combination “a handsome man with a few compromises". One of the compromises is, for example, a different type of display and the absence of a second lens on the camera.

Even though only one lens brings with it certain limitations, in Cupertino they have tried very successfully to replace it with software solutions of portrait mode or Smart HDR. The portrait mode is understandably not as good as the iPhone XS, but that doesn't change the fact that some of the following images are truly breathtaking.
