Shazam has been one of the most popular apps for many years. This is mainly due to its functionality, where it can recognize the song being played quite accurately by listening to sounds from the surroundings. The only blemish on the beauty was the commercials. However, even those have now disappeared from Shazam, thanks to Apple in particular.

Not long ago, two months passed since Apple completed its acquisition of Shazam. At the time, the company also hinted that Shazam would be ad-free in the future. As the Californian giant promised, it also happened, and together with the new version 12.5.1, which headed today as an update to the App Store, it completely removed ads from the application. The positive change also applies to the Android version.

Apple first announced plans to acquire Shazam exactly a year ago, in December 2017. At that time, the official statement said that Shazam and Apple Music naturally belong together, and both companies have interesting plans for the future. For now, however, there have been no significant changes, and the first major step is the removal of ads from the application.

In time, however, we could expect a deeper integration of Shazam's functions into the Music application, i.e. into Apple's music streaming service. New possibilities of using the acquired algorithm, or a completely new application, are also not excluded. The same was the case with the Workflow application, which Apple he bought and turned into his Shortcuts.
