There is at least one good reason to install SEJF on your mobile today. You won't have to constantly look for coins to pay for a ticket or parking fee. In reality, however, it is much more, a kind of universal payment interface that appropriately complements established non-cash payment tools.

In principle, the Sejf application gets its name when it serves as a safe storage for your money. One of the offered methods allows you to deposit money in the Safe, and then you have several options to deal with it.

The offer of tickets and coupons for public transport and paying parking fees will probably attract the most interest. Buying tickets for the subway, trams and buses is nothing new on phones, at least in selected cities where so-called premium SMS works. But in the age of smart phones, this method can seem a bit outdated, which is why DIRECT pay (among other things, the provider of solutions for premium SMS aggregators) comes with a completely new solution through the Sejf application.

Premium text messages are not advantageous for several reasons, and Sejf's solution is not only meant to ease the work and time of travelers, but also the other party, i.e. DPP (Transport Company of the Capital City of Prague). According to his survey, people often complain about sending premium SMS because they don't know in which format and to which numbers to send messages. Another, many times more significant problem is the fact that premium SMS are far from being allowed on every phone number (for example, work phones) and this solution does not work at all for foreigners.

That's why there is a safe, in which, once you load some money, you have public transport tickets at hand almost immediately. All you have to do is choose the type of ticket, enter your PIN and pay. Similar to waiting for a confirmation SMS, Sejf also has a ninety-third waiting period, so that black passengers do not have time to buy a ticket just before the inspector checks them.

Sejf currently offers the option of purchasing an electronic ticket in five cities - Prague, Brno, Liberec, Ústí nad Labem and Rychnov nad Kněžnou, however, the number of places will continue to grow.

We often encounter something similar when we need to park somewhere. We are looking for a parking meter, for which we need the coins, and if we don't have them at the moment, we are looking for someone to change for us, in the worst case, we risk parking illegally. If we're lucky and come across a place where you can pay by SMS, we write down the appropriate code from the parking meter, add the car's license plate, send an SMS and we're at peace. But it's a bit more convenient in Sejf. Thanks to geolocation, the safe will offer you relevant parking tariffs and you can buy a parking ticket from the comfort of your car.

The safe saves time, especially when you arrive in a foreign city, park and don't want to deal with parking, but rather focus on the upcoming meeting. Then you just click a few times in the Safe and you're done. You don't need to find out or remember different numbers. In addition, Sejf can warn about the end of the validity of the parking ticket by SMS message. And there's no need to be afraid of the police, who of course have devices with them to find out whether you've paid or not, regardless of the empty space outside the window on the dashboard.

At the moment, Sejf offers ten cities, but even here DIRECT pay promises to significantly expand its scope in the coming weeks and months.

However, the safe is not only about tickets and parking fees. Money can be sent between users from Safe to Safe, but more interesting is the possibility of very simple contributions to various charities and charitable organizations. Currently, for example, a pre-set UNICEF account is useful, to which you can send a contribution to help with the removal of damage after the devastating typhoon in the Philippines. Again, you don't have to look for account numbers and text messages.

So far, the Discounts and Entertainment sections of the Safe are relatively marginal interests. In cooperation with its partners, DIRECT pay offers various discounts to shops and restaurants. The advantage here is that you don't have to print anything, just show the purchased discount in the Safe. Many will also welcome instant access to a tax receipt.

If we were to focus on the details of how the Safe works, everything runs according to traditional security standards. You set a four-digit PIN in the app, which you will need to enter to confirm every payment or money transfer, so your money is protected. For sending money between two Safes, the developers have a patented technology that meets the strictest criteria for financial transfers via a mobile phone.

You can also deposit money into the Safe through a secure payment gateway directly on your mobile phone, but you can also transfer money in cash at the bank, by direct debit (you set a minimum limit and as soon as you fall below it, more money is automatically loaded) or by regular bank transfer. The maximum balance in your safe can be 500 euros. It should be noted that most functions only work if you are connected to the Internet.

The Sejf application is available for free for iPhone (and Android), however, some may find it annoying that it does not quite fit in with the new iOS 7 in terms of graphics. However, it is very possible that in a few months Sejf will be a widely used application, especially when when other cities will be added to purchase tickets and parking fees. Premium SMS probably won't have a very long future, but the Sejf solution does. This is also proven by the partners of this project, such as Mastercard, ČSOB and ERA, who are betting on Sejf.
