The Apple TV+ streaming service is about to undergo significant changes. Kim Rozenfeld, who was in charge of content, is leaving his position. The structure of the executive staff of the service will also undergo changes. However, Rozenfeld is not going too far and is not completely saying goodbye to Apple - the Cupertino giant has signed a so-called "first-look" agreement with Rozenfeld's company Half Full Productions. Apple decided to merge the development and programming team under one single boss.

Matt Cherniss, the former head of WGN America who oversaw scripted development for Apple, will also oversee the programming side. Apple TV+ head of documentaries, Molly Thompson, will continue to be in charge of this type of programming offering, but will also oversee its development.

Rozenfeld worked for many years at Sony Pictures TV and, along with Zack Van Amburg and Jamie Erlicht, was one of the first "defectors" from Sony TV to Apple. At Sony, Rozenfeld served as executive vice president of programming for six years, and also has a producing career at ABC Studios and 20th Century Fox. For example, he participated in the creation of the slightly controversial series Huge, Two Guys, a Girl and Pizza Place or American High.

Matt Cherniss, who will oversee the two combined divisions, has been with Apple since August 2017. Prior to joining Cupertino, he spent four years at WGN America and Tribune Studios. In the past, for example, he also worked for the studio Warner Bros. or for Fox Broadcasting Co.
