It wasn't long ago that we informed you about the creation of a comprehensive archive of Apple ads, press and other materials. The creator of the archive was Sam Henri Gold, who unsuccessfully tried to collect these materials already in the summer of last year. The primary purpose of the archive was to preserve advertisements for the needs of creatives and other professionals whose work is related not only to advertising and marketing, but also to technology. But the archive - or rather its video part - remained alive for only a few days.

The archive, which was supposed to be an unofficial tribute to Apple's history, faced complaints of copyright infringement by Apple due to the videos, shared by the website Vimeo. At the moment, however, the archive pages still contain some press advertisements, press photos and a few other materials.

Sam Henri Gold launched an unofficial archive of Apple's history in the middle of this month to pay tribute, among other things, to the work done by countless designers, copywriters and producers on the often iconic ads. The unofficial archive charted more than forty years of Apple marketing, and Sam Henri Gold said at the time of its launch, among other things, that he hoped it would not be stopped immediately by Apple. In addition to videos that are no longer available on the website, the archive also contained a large amount of unreleased material from marketing campaigns.

Sam Henri Gold received literally hundreds of emails from Vimeo warning him that his videos would be taken down for copyright infringement. Gold briefly commented on the partial disappearance of the extensive archive at your Twitter.
