Apple's Korean competitor sent samples of its foldable displays to Apple and Google. The diagonal of the displays that Samsung Display sent out is 7,2 inches. The panels are therefore 0,1 inches smaller than the ones the company used for its Samsung Galaxy Fold.
A source familiar with the matter said it has information about the provision of a "folding display kit to Apple and Google". The goal is primarily to expand the customer base for this type of panels. The sent display samples should serve engineers to explore the possibilities of the respective technology and to inspire ideas for further use of these panels.

This is a significant change in this direction, because Samsung has not shared its OLED displays with anyone for at least the last two years. However, folding panels probably do not expect the same impact that OLED panels had.
