A new version of the Safari browser for OS X Mavericks has been released. Safari 7.0.3 brings improvements in compatibility, stability and security, and the biggest news is the ability to manage push notifications more easily…
The latest update, which is a free download from the Mac App Store, also includes improved credit card autofill and support for websites with generic top-level domains. Apple has released Safari 6.1.3 for OS X Mountain Lion users.
Safari 7.0.3 is recommended for all OS X Mavericks users. Includes compatibility, stability and security improvements. This update:
- Fixes an issue that could cause a web page to load or a search term to be submitted before pressing Return in the address and search fields
- Improves the compatibility of automatic filling of payment card information on websites
- Fixes an issue that could block receiving push notifications from websites
- Adds a preference to disable push notification prompts from websites
- Adds support for websites with generic top-level domains
- Strengthens the Safari sandbox
- Fixes security issues including several recently identified competing security issues
Unfortunately, even after the update, Safari has a problem when going back pages, when it "inserts" a white blank page between the current and previous page and it is necessary to swipe back twice. (typically an example when reading articles on idnes.cz)
And unfortunately, the function of the last closed tabs from Google Chrome is missing. So I'll stick with Chrome on OSX even when I use Safari on iOS devices
Yesterday I switched from OSX 10.7 to Maverick and I thought that the problem of pages back would be solved and it's still there :) where is the error... but I can't google it.
I have a different problem. especially on Sunday, I read about half of the page and the rest was blank and instead of the mouse I have a rainbow wheel for more than 30 seconds.
