Ondrej Holzman Today, for most people, travel insurance is an integral part of every big or small trip abroad, where you never know what inconvenience you might encounter. Moreover, in the age of smartphones, arranging travel insurance is a matter of literally a few tens of seconds. The insurance company Allianz is trying to make full use of modern technology with its application Na cesty s Kolbaba.
This is nothing new from Allianz, we already wrote about the application, which was given its name by the well-known Czech traveler Jirka Kolbaba, a year ago, but the development is still moving forward and the Na cesty s Kolbaba application has also undergone several interesting changes. The most fundamental, or the one that the user immediately notices, is the updated design language, which now follows the rhythm of iOS 7, including all familiar controls.

Functionality and simplicity are, of course, key to an application that negotiates travel insurance, and this is where Allianz took care. You can arrange and pay for travel insurance in less than three minutes, all in a pleasant and clean environment, where everything important is explained to you and you can choose everything from your own name to insurance for risky sports such as kayaking.
The advantage of arranging travel insurance in a mobile application is not only speed and simplicity, Allianz also deducts 15% of the final price from such contracts, which is very nice. When insuring, you choose the region and country you are going to, the number of people and days, and you can pay extra for the aforementioned risky sports or cancellation fees. The application will also list in detail what and how you will be insured. That is, for example, if you will be able to use assistance services or what your daily compensation will be in the event of an accident abroad.
Then all you have to do is fill in your personal data, and you can also save them in the Na cesty s Kolbaba application and recall them from memory for other insurances. This will speed up the whole process. The application then presents the contractual documentation, which you must agree to, and you choose between payment by transfer or card. By paying directly through the payment gateway or by bank transfer (you will receive the necessary information by e-mail), you have arranged travel insurance.
However, Allianz does not only offer its customers a single-purpose application. The dominant feature of the On the Road with Kolbaba application is a map of the entire world with interactive points in the capitals of individual countries. On trips with Kolbaba, it turns into a handy helper when discovering foreign regions, when it offers basic information about the given country (capital, currency, population, etc.), as well as the address and phone number for the embassy and emergency line. The application will also be used by drivers, as the application informs about speed limits, the necessity of daytime running lights or the permitted blood alcohol level. To make matters worse, the insurance company Allianz has prepared one more very interesting function for its customers - the so-called Summoner. This will help you summon a group of friends whenever you are in a pinch and need help. In the application, you select the contacts you want to contact in case of an emergency, and then just click on one of the preset or manually created messages and send the message. GPS coordinates of your location will be automatically attached to each message (in the form of a link to Google Maps), so your friends will immediately know where to look for you.
The Na cesty s Kolbaba application is of course available completely free of charge, and in addition to numbers for the Allianz assistance service, you will also find a lot of advice and tips on how to behave in trouble. With a 15% discount, you will no longer have a reason to order insurance with Allianz other than through the mobile application.
