Anti-virus software company Lookout is one of the established brands in the market and recently responded to a potential security hole in iOS devices. From its Watch, Apple allows you to "ring" via Bluetooth when you can't find it, but it no longer solves the part when you accidentally move away from your iPhone and don't know about it. Which is typical especially in case of theft, which is why we are talking about a security hole.
However, this problem is solved very well by the Lookout application, which protects not only the iPhone, but also the iPad, Watch or iPod touch. It keeps all devices safe and at the same time, for example, backs up all your contacts.
For Lookout to work properly, you need to download the app on all your devices and create a free account with a strong password. Most of the features are free in Lookout, however, for three euros a month you get extra features such as automatic photo backup or sending emails about suspicious activity.
However, the main point is Lookout on the Apple Watch. You set the app to vibrate your watch every time you move away from your iPhone. Lookout will instantly show you how far away you are on your wrist, and if you're already too far away and the Bluetooth connection is lost, the watch will show you a map with the device's last known location. You can also make your iPhone "ring" from the Watch and send a message to the phone, similar to the Find My iPhone system function.
In addition – again as with Find My iPhone – the web interface is always available to you on Lookout.com, where you can see all your iOS devices and backup contacts after logging in. It is important to mention that Lookout can only locate lost devices if they are connected to the Internet. At the same time, the application can alert you when you have an outdated or untrusted version of iOS on your products.
The only negative experience is the higher demand on the battery. The app is constantly running in the background and can be burdensome even for the Apple Watch. The good news, on the other hand, is that the developers are also preparing a Czech mutation. Many functions can be provided by the Find My iPhone system application, however, unlike Lookout, it cannot alert you when you have left your iPhone somewhere.

... the most important sentence is at the end: "The only negative experience is the higher demand on the battery",... :) I put the watch on my wrist at 6:30, it's now 13:00 p.m., my battery is at 69%,... These apps that run in background, I've tried some before - always deleted them. How much battery should I have now? … 39%? +- … that is unfortunately out of the question,…. As a topic, I would be more interested in "how much did you set the daily limit for burning kilocalories in the watch?" :D ... I got used to it for a long time, rather I always dealt with active/efficient burning - optimal heart rate - maybe I miss it quite a bit in the watch , instead, they use kilocalories in Apple and some hidden mechanisms, which they then use to make the blue-green-red circle,... Otherwise, for the sake of interest - I set 500kcal per day, I have a more sedentary job, so it gives me a really "crazy" to complete the circles daily,... :D
I have to say that with 42 and deployment at 7:00 a.m., I now have 17% at 15:76 p.m. and I get several notifications every hour. I think the day will last just fine anyway :)
at first I cheered, I need that, just let it remind me nicely that I'm walking away from a forgotten iPhone or iPad.
I don't know where the error is, but after a few days of using it, I unfortunately turn it off. Unfortunately, I only experienced false alarms, the watch screams that the iPhone is out of range, while it is still in the pocket at a distance of 40 cm in the pocket, this happened many times, both on BT and wifi. It works with the iPad (4th), but not the most important function.
So I'll try again in time when it's fine-tuned, I can't recommend it yet.
