Two weeks have passed since the last release of official data regarding the expansion of iOS 9, so Apple has shown more numbers. Two months after the release of the new mobile operating system, the rate of adoption slowed significantly for the first time. It increased by a single percentage point.

At the beginning of November, according to measured numbers from the App Store, Apple revealed that iOS 9 was installed on two of the three active iPhones, iPads or iPod touches. But two weeks later, iOS 9's share increased by only a single percentage point to 67%. Last year's iOS 8 is used by 24% of devices and even older systems by only 9%.

The slowdown in the growth of iOS 9 is certainly not surprising, we could observe a similar trend in the past years, and also in the case of this system, we can expect that it will easily reach over 80 percent in the end, but it will simply not be so fast.

Just a few weeks ago, iOS 9 spread by one percentage point every two to three days, now it takes two whole weeks. But the acceleration of iOS 9 adoption could come at Christmas, when Apple is expected to sell a record number of iPhones again.
