Rentalit is changing the way IT financing is done for entrepreneurs

Press Release: Startup Rentalit was founded at the beginning of last year with the aim of offering operational leasing of hardware to small and medium-sized companies and self-employed persons. Since December, it has become a subsidiary of J&T Leasing. It thus complements the portfolio of the company, which has been providing operative leasing of ICT and medical technology since the end of 2017.

Operational hardware leasing enables companies to effectively and clearly manage IT budgets, optimize and simplify hardware lifecycle management processes. Thanks to Rentalit, this modern service is now also available to small companies and entrepreneurs. "Operational leasing of hardware is a relatively frequently used method of financing the purchase of equipment in the world, but this service is still less known in the Czech Republic. In the last two years, we have managed to approach many companies with this method of financing, so the next logical step was to focus on the area of ​​smaller companies and self-employed persons. They form an interesting part of our potential market and the Rentalit brand is intended for them," says Vlastimil Nešetril, chairman of the board of directors of J&T Leasing Company.

The new Rentalit brand entered the Czech market in March 2020 and offers clients, which include small companies and self-employed persons, the opportunity to purchase high-quality HW end devices (computers, phones and tablets). Together with it, another brand was born, Relodit, which focuses on the field of gaming and rents out super-powerful gaming computers to players. Both brands belong to the Rentalit company and have been part of the J&T Finance Group since December 2020, which provides them with financial background and know-how.

Rentalit succeeded in entering the market despite the situation complicated by the coronavirus and economic restrictions. "In 2020, we managed to invent the company, establish it, test it in a pilot operation and start the operation sharp," says Petra Jelínková, CEO at Rentalit. "At the same time, we created a functional and coordinated work team," supplies. In the summer, Rentalit established close cooperation with a major Apple retailer, iStyle, and financed equipment ordered from the portal www.Applebezhranic.cz. Another success was the start of cooperation between the Relodit brand and the Eclot gaming stable.

The fact that the service has great potential is also confirmed by the numbers. Since entering the market in March 2020, more than 300 new clients have been acquired and equipment worth millions of crowns has been financed. And all this with minimal marketing activities and under the conditions of the given pandemic.

The year 2021 means further development and opportunities for the startup Rentalit and its Czech customers. The opening of its own business premises on Rustonka in Prague's Karlín is being prepared, the plan is also to expand the team and cooperate with a major e-shop.
