Recap #11, or what interesting happened in the past week

The last Sunday before Christmas is almost over and that means we'll take a look at the most interesting things that happened in the Apple world over the past week. This year's end of the year is relatively full of news, and Apple has postponed the premiere of its smart speaker until the spring of next year. Anyway, that was enough, so let's take a look, recap #11 is here.

At the end of the week, a large part of Apple's design fans could breathe a sigh of relief, as it turned out that Jony Ive is not gradually leaving the company, as was speculated in the last two years. Ive was in charge of the interior design of Apple Park, and due to its completion, his role expired. Thus, he returned to his previous position, which he left two years ago. Now he is once again overseeing all of Apple's design.

In other positive news, the iPhone X has been available since earlier this week with a wait time of only a few days. Over the course of the week, availability improved to the point where Apple shipped it to you two days after ordering. However, this information only applies to the official store www.apple.cz

Thanks to reddit, another mystery related to older iPhones, especially the 6S and 6S Plus models, has been clarified. We also learned at the end of the week that Apple bought Shazam. The first unofficial information appeared last week, but everything was official on Tuesday. As already mentioned above, on Thursday, Apple started selling the new iMac Pro. After almost five years, it offers professional users a machine that is not afraid of production in Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere. The novelty offers enormous performance, which it achieves by using server components. However, the price is also worth it…

Along with the launch of the new iMac Pros, Apple also updated Final Cut Pro X. It now supports all the latest technologies and is ready for the arrival of new workstations from Apple.

This time we will say goodbye with an article about how it is actually (not) possible to upgrade the newly introduced iMac Pro. The inability to upgrade the hardware in the future is perhaps the most pressing problem that binds the new computer from Apple. As it turned out, the principle of its own non-upgradability is not so strict, but apart from the operating memory, you won't (officially) change much in the future.
