She was about seven weeks ago the long-awaited beta version released vintage RSS readers Reeder 2 for Mac. After this relatively short testing period, the final version of the application is finally coming to the Mac App Store. It was withdrawn from sale for almost a year, because it was expected that the developer Silvio Rizzi would add support for alternative RSS services to the application, thus responding to terminating Google Reader, which Reeder had relied on until then.

Reeder 2 is a completely new application and compared to the original version it brings some important news. Reeder now supports the RSS services that gained the most popularity after the end of Google Reader. These include Feedbin, Feedly, Feed Wrangler, Fever and Readability. However, the application has now also become a separate RSS client, so if you do not require synchronization of your subscriptions, you will no longer be dependent on any web service or threatened by its possible end.

A great benefit of the application is, among other things, the support of a number of gestures that greatly facilitate control and make the application more modern. There are also themes to customize the appearance of the application, a number of customizable keyboard shortcuts and many sharing options. You can download Reeder 2 immediately from the Mac App Store for €8,99.
