In a new interview with Vogue Business magazine, Apple's director of retail sales, Angela Ahrendts, had the main floor. She mainly talked about how the new and existing Apple Story will look like in the future. These should be gradually transformed into common centers for teaching, seminars or photo tours.

The interview took place in Washington DC, where Apple will soon open another of its apple stores. According to Ahrendts, the store there will become a community center where schools will go for seminars on, for example, how to take the best photos on an iPhone.

The Vogue Business article also pointed out that nearly 2017 brick-and-mortar stores have closed in the U.S. since 10, and analysts predict that one in four department stores will meet the same fate by the end of 000. On that account, the head of Apple's retail stores boasted the fact that Apple retained 2022% of all employees last year, and 90% of them even got new positions.

According to her, Apple's approach is quite different from that of other and traditional retailers. In her opinion, they focus too much on specific numbers, instead of focusing on their own employees and investing in them in the form of training and education. Apple is said to have stopped looking at retail in a linear fashion. "You can't just look at the profitability of one store, one app or online store. You have to connect everything together. One customer, one brand." he adds.
