If you already have a system in place for keeping notes and tasks, then you probably won't want to leave it. However, for those who are still looking for the ideal application, we bring you a review on iOS of the new to-do list Any.DO. It already exists for Android or as an extension for the Google Chrome browser.

The multi-platform feature mentioned at the very beginning is a great advantage of Any.DO, because nowadays users demand from similar applications the possibility of synchronization and its use on multiple devices.

Any.DO brings a distinctive and graphically excellent interface, in which it is a joy to manage your tasks. At first glance, Any.DO looks very austere, but under the hood it hides relatively powerful tools for managing and creating tasks.

The basic screen is simple. Four categories – Today, Tomorrow, This week, Later – and individual tasks in them. Adding new entries is very intuitive, as the developers have modified the traditional "pull to refresh", so you only need to "pull the display down" and you can write. In this case, the task is automatically added to the category Today. If you want to directly add it elsewhere, you need to click the plus button next to the relevant category, or add an appropriate warning when creating it. However, records can be easily moved between individual categories by dragging.

Entering the task itself is simple. In addition, Any.DO tries to give you hints and predicts what you probably want to write. This function also works in Czech, so sometimes it really makes a few extra clicks easier for you. The neat thing is that it also draws information from your contacts, so you don't have to type in different names manually. Additionally, a call can be made directly from Any.DO if you create such a task. Unfortunately, Czech is not supported by voice entry. This is triggered by a longer screen download, however you must dictate in English to be successful.

Once you have a task created, clicking on it will bring up a bar where you can set that task to a higher priority (red text color), select a folder, set notifications, add notes (you can actually add more than one), or share the task (via e -mail, Twitter or Facebook). I'd go back to the folders mentioned, because that's the other option for sorting tasks in Any.DO. From the bottom of the screen, you can pull out a menu with display options - you can sort tasks either by date or by the folder you assign to them (for example, Personal, Work, etc.). The principle for displaying the folders remains the same and it is up to everyone what style suits them. You can also write down completed tasks that you have already ticked off (in fact, to mark a completed task, the tick gesture works, and you can then delete the task and move it to the "trash" by shaking the device).

It might seem that the above is all that Any.DO can handle, but we're not done yet - let's turn the iPhone to landscape. At that moment, we will get a slightly different view of our tasks. The left half of the screen shows either a calendar or folders; on the right, individual tasks are listed either by date or folders. This environment is very strong in that it works by dragging tasks, which can be easily moved from the left side between folders or moved to another date using the calendar.

I mentioned at the beginning that Any.DO is also available for other devices. Of course, there is synchronization between individual devices, and you can either log in with your Facebook account or create an account with Any.DO. I personally tested the synchronization between the iOS version and the client for Google Chrome and I can say that the connection worked great, the response was immediate on both sides.

Finally, I will mention that for those who hate white, Any.DO can be switched to black. The app is available for free in the App Store, which is certainly great news.
