One of the biggest advantages of IPTV services is their availability across platforms - you can watch live broadcasts and programs from the archive in a web browser, on a tablet, a smartphone, or even on a smart TV. The Telly service is no exception in this regard, and we have been gradually reviewing its individual applications for you since last December. Telly for Apple TV comes last. How do we like it?

Official data

Telly is an IPTV service - i.e. Internet TV - that offers users the option of choosing between three different packages with a rich program offer. As part of the Telly service, you can watch more than a hundred different channels across genres, both domestic and foreign programs. In the menu you will find the option of watching live sports broadcasts from around the world as well as free HD versions of your favorite TV channels. Telly also offers useful functions, such as the ability to record, play back, or browse the weekly archive. Viewers can choose from three packages – small with 67 channels for 200 crowns per month, medium with 106 channels for 400 crowns per month and large with 127 channels for 600 crowns per month. In addition, you can purchase HBO 1 - 3 HD with HBO GO for 250 crowns per month for each of these channel packages offered. You can watch Telly on up to four devices at once (at no extra cost), and you also get space to record up to 100 hours of shows with the service. You can watch Telly on your mobile devices throughout the European Union.

Application interface

The Telly app for Apple TV has a similar interface to its iPadOS and iOS variants. At the top of the screen you will find a bar with the option to go to the live broadcast, to the recorded shows, to the TV program and to return to the home screen. The main part of the home screen is occupied by previews of suggested shows to watch, followed by an overview of recently watched shows, which you can return to play if necessary, and you will also find an overview of genres.

Features, stability and playback quality

As with previous versions of the Telly application, I must once again highlight the stability of the application. Even at peak times, there were no dropouts, interruptions or stuck playback. As with previous versions of the Telly application, I was also pleased with the offer of interesting programs to watch. Suggestions appear on the main page, and if you scroll all the way down the screen, you can browse individual movies by genre. The "tabs" of individual programs are also clear, functional and useful, where you can find not only detailed information, but also the option to record or start playback of the program. The Telly app for tvOS runs smoothly, without problems, and is very easy to navigate and control.

Finally

Telly is a very successful application for Apple TV. Its interface looks very good even on a large screen, it runs smoothly, playback is fast and reliable. After trying all the variants of this application, I came to the conclusion that the developers manage to tailor each of the versions directly to the respective operating system. Everything works as it should - and it looks really cool too. Another thing that I really liked about Telly is the perfect connection across all platforms – if I start watching a movie, series or TV show on my iPhone while traveling on the bus, for example, I can then immediately pick up where I left off on my Apple TV at home. What's more, I don't have to search for the programs I'm watching - the application clearly serves them right on the main screen.
