Recently, a rather interesting game appeared in the App Store with the name Tales of Fury, behind which a new Czech game studio stands Realm Masters Interactive, Ltd. The developers have big plans for their work and do not hide their ambitions to break through on the international stage. Do they have a chance with their fairy-tale jumper to make a name for themselves in the huge competition of iOS games?

When you first start the game Tales of Fury the player is introduced to the basic storyline of the story. It is quite simple. Prince Furry, the main character of the game, lives in a distant fairytale kingdom. Prince Furry is already standing at the altar with his only love, but the evil Dark Lord Furious bursts into the ceremony hall at the last moment. Of course, he crashes the wedding, kidnaps the princess, and imprisons poor Furry in a dark dungeon for the rest of his days.

Here the outline of the story ends and the future development is clear. The task of the whole game is to get Prince Furry out of the dungeon, lead him to the evil Lord and save Furry's lost love from his miserable hands. And how will the escape and rescue take place? Jumping, bouncing and jumping again.

Tales of Furia is, in terms of the game system, a jumper of the most ordinary kind. Moving right and left is done by tilting the phone and jumping can be done by tapping anywhere on the display. To progress through the game, you have to jump upwards on various platforms and avoid falling from a greater height. The goal of each level is to successfully reach the top of the given floor, reach this top in the best possible time and collect as many stars as possible along the way. The player always has three lives available (3 hearts in the lower right corner of the screen). If the player loses all lives, they must start the level over.

An easy difficulty with unlimited lives is also available for less experienced players. So there is no unnecessary frustration from long-term failures to progress through the game. Both levels of difficulty can always be chosen for a given level immediately upon unlocking it, and bonus tasks (so-called achievements) can be completed regardless of difficulty. So, for example, if you manage to complete a level without losing a life while collecting all the stars, you will get a proper reward, even if you played the level on easy difficulty with unlimited lives.

The game environment gradually becomes more colorful and the difficulty increases. Over time, various types of platforms are added, some of which collapse after being stepped on, others cannot be jumped through, and so on. Over time, all possible murderous obstacles come into play, in the form of all kinds of static weapons stuck in the way or guards mechanically moving on the platforms. At a more advanced stage of the game, a hard fall from the platform is no longer the only danger. There are also alternative options for progress such as elevators, sliding platforms and the like. So the game is not so monotonous.

The graphic processing of the entire game environment is pleasant and is conceived with a kind of fairy-tale exaggeration. The game is completed with a great musical accompaniment. On the plus side, the game is quite long and there are plenty of levels to play. With Tales of Furia, you can save a lot of time in the subway, tram or in the doctor's waiting room. In addition to the main story, you can also play individual challenges. In addition, these challenges will increase with further updates, so hopefully there will be plenty of fun in the future.

The game supports Game Center, so you can easily share your results and compare them with other players. Despite the fact that it is a Czech game, there is still no localization into our mother tongue and the game is written only in English. However, the developers plan to add various localizations, including the Czech one, and the situation should therefore change with the next updates. I also consider it a negative that the game Tales of Furia is only intended for iPhone and iPod touch. Of course, you can also play it on the iPad, but the resolution of the large tablet display is not yet supported. Developers from Realm Masters Interactive however, they are going to optimize the game for the iPad at an unspecified time.
