In terms of processing, this reviewed car adapter won't excite you, but it won't offend you either. The adapter is entirely made of plastic, that is, of course, except for the metal parts that serve as contacts. In addition to the two USB connectors, the upper side of the adapter also has a round blue design element that brings the entire adapter to life. On the side panel you will then find the Swissten branding, opposite to which you will find the specification and other detailed information about the adapter. As for the connectors, they are quite stiff at first and it is quite difficult to plug the cables into them, but after pulling out and inserting them several times, everything is fine.

Despite the fact that I have classic USB connectors available in my car, through which I can easily charge my devices and, if necessary, also run CarPlay on them, I of course decided to try this adapter. The whole time I had no problems with the adapter, there were no interruptions in charging, and I didn't even have to adjust the phone settings so that the iPhone could respond to USB devices in a locked state, as is customary with some cheap adapters. As for the power of the adapter, if you are only charging one device, you can "let" the already changed maximum current of 2.4 A into it. If you charge two devices at the same time, the current will be divided into 1.2 A and 1.2 A. My girlfriend and I finally don't have to share and fight over one charger in the car anymore - we simply plug in each of our devices and charge both at the same time. The fact that there is a free cable in the package is also pleasing. And in case you are missing a cable, you can add a high-quality braided cable from Swissten to your basket.

If you have bought a new car, or you simply need to connect a car adapter to your existing car, the reviewed adapter from Swissten is the perfect choice. It will surprise you with its workmanship, price tag, and also the possibility to connect two devices to the adapter at the same time. The included cable (either Lightning, microUSB, or USB-C) or the nice and modern look of the entire adapter are also an advantage. There is nothing missing from the adapter, and as I already mentioned, it is a nice choice if you need to buy a car adapter.
The adapter is completely below average and the 12W power is not enough to charge new mobile phones when they are in use and Waze is running. You must have a 45W booster! Otherwise this is some kind of advertising article or ignorance of the author.
Why wouldn't a 12W adapter be enough to charge an iPhone? Until now, Apple (except for the 11 Pro series) includes 5W adapters and they are sufficient, so I don't know where the problem is.
If the price of the charger varies according to the selected cable, then the cable is definitely not free!!! Here again someone is lying to the point of his mouth.

Quite poor quality product. The charging adapter for my cigarette lighter broke in half and the micro USB cable broke. More Swiss and at the same time the simplest China.
I have used this adapter in my car for a long time and I have not encountered a similar problem, the adapter is now used in my father's car and also no problem. Maybe I would try to complain about the adapter, they don't have a problem with complaints at Swissten. If it is confirmed that in your case it was a design fault, the store will certainly send you a new adapter. And finally, everything is from China these days. Well done, I bought this adapter, but apparently it's an older generation and very bad! This purchase taught me not to buy anything unoriginal. The cable stopped working completely. It works like this for one connection out of a hundred. After a while, the aluminum plug under the lighting connector fell off, then also the cover of the USB connector. I seriously did not expect this from this brand. The only good thing is the ignition adapter. It's a pity that it doesn't have USB-C, I would use it...
