Apple Watch straps are the perfect accessory to easily tell the world what style you prefer. Thanks to the possibility of simple exchange, you can easily replace several different straps in one day without any problems. Some users prefer comfort, while other users of course match the straps with their clothes or according to the occasion. There are many different types of straps, from fabric to leather to metal. Of course, Apple itself also offers original straps, but let's not lie to ourselves - their price is simply and simply high. It is justified for some types, but not completely for most.

Due to the high price, Apple Watch users reach for several times cheaper alternatives, which are often indistinguishable from the original straps, both in terms of quality and workmanship. And in the end, even if the alternative straps don't last as long as the original ones, you'll still be better off financially even if you buy more. Of course, I am not dismissing the original straps, but I think that if someone wants to replace dozens of straps, it is simply better to buy the cheaper ones, because for the price of, for example, twenty original straps, you could buy two new iPhones. Most individuals buy straps from Chinese online marketplaces, but Swissten.eu also offers its own straps. A trio of Swissten straps arrived at our office and we will look at them together in this review.

Official specification

As usual in our reviews, we will of course start with the official specifications. Quite frankly, we don't find many of these specifications for straps. So let's at least say what types of straps are available from Swissten. The first type is classic silicone, which you can get in a total of 5 colors. At Apple, you would pay 1 crowns for this strap, Swissten.eu offers it for 249 crowns. The second type available is milan move, and in 3 colors. This strap is offered by Apple for 2 crowns, a Swissten strap of this type will cost you 299 crowns. The last type available is metal link pull, Available in three colors. Apple charges up to an incredible 12 crowns for it, Swissten.eu has it for 399 crowns. But the truth is that the link pull from Swissten is different compared to the apple one. At the same time, it is necessary to mention that the straps are available in all sizes, i.e. both for the 38/40/41 mm version and for the larger 42/44/45 mm version. And if you even finish reading this article, you will be able to use it 10% discount on the entire purchase.

Packing

Apple Watch straps from Swissten are packaged quite simply. It comes in a small case that is transparent from the front so you can see the strap right away. You can also see some basic features from the front. On the back of the paper that covers the strap, there is branding, along with information about compatibility, i.e. what size watch the strap is designed for. There is also a guide for installing the strap, which of course all Apple Watch users are familiar with. To pull out the strap, just pull the covering paper layer upwards, then the strap can be pulled out.

Processing and personal experience

All three mentioned types of Swissten straps arrived at our office. Specifically, these are straps for the larger Apple Watch, i.e. for the 42/44/45 mm version. The silicone strap is red, the Milanese strap is silver and the link strap is black. How is the processing of these straps and what is your personal experience?

Silicone strap

First up is the Swissten silicone strap in black. Compared to Apple's original strap, it differs in some ways. As soon as you take it in your hand, you can notice that it is a bit more malleable and adapts better. There are a total of seven holes that you can use to adjust the size and fasten the strap. As for the fastening studs, it is possible to notice another difference here - the Swissten strap has two studs compared to the original Apple strap. Otherwise, the strap in the body of the Apple Watch holds well and does not move in any way. Personally, I am not a big fan of silicone straps as they are uncomfortable, but if you prefer these straps, you will definitely not have a problem. In terms of size, I used the smallest possible holes, as I have quite a small hand. I have noticed that when using the MacBook with this strap, the studs touch the body of the MacBook, which could cause scratches. The color of the strap is otherwise really colorful.

Milan move

As for the Milan pull from Swissten, it is practically indistinguishable from the original version - and it costs several times less. In this case, a magnet takes care of the fastening, which is attached directly to the strap after wrapping around it. So you can set the size exactly as you need, you are not limited by any openings. The Milanese move is extremely elegant and is especially suitable for festive occasions, possibly for work or simply where you want to look good. Of course, it is not completely suitable for sports, which is understandable. Even this strap in the body of the Apple Watch holds firmly and does not even move. The materials used are of high quality and from the point of view of personal experience, wearing a Milanese pull is not a problem for me. Sometimes, however, during a certain movement of the hand, it happens that hairs from the hand get into the eyelets of the pull, which are then pulled out, which can sting. Personally, I can say that this is the only thing that annoys me about the Milanese pull - but it happens with both the original and the Swissten strap.

Article move

The last type of strap that you can find in the Swissten.eu shop offer is the link pull. This strap is very popular, because thanks to it you give the Apple Watch the look of a classic watch, which uses the link tension most often. Specifically, this article move that Swissten.eu offers, you will not find directly at Apple. As for the processing, quality materials are also used here. Fastening takes place using a folding clasp, which is also very common in link pulls. This type of fastening is quick and convenient - to unfasten it, you just need to press the buttons on the side, in case of turning it on, you just need to click it. Since this strap is made up of several links, it is necessary to pull out or add links to change the size. It should be mentioned that all links are attached to the strap, so you won't find any more in the package. To reduce the size of the watch, you need to pull out the links in the classic way, ideally using a tool (not included in the package), where you pull the rod out of the link in the direction of the stamped arrow. In total, this strap can be shortened by six links. This strap is also comfortable to wear on the hand and is suitable for everyday as well as festive wear - in short and simply everywhere you would take a classic watch.
