The world of power banks is really very diverse. Since it is an accessory that should not be missing in any home, there are countless different types and types to choose from, according to everyone's needs. In our magazine, we have already looked together at the reviews of countless different power banks – some have a smaller capacity, some have a larger capacity, some are crammed with technology and the latest standards, and others rely on the old familiar connectors. The power bank Yenkee YPB 3010, which belongs to the segment with huge capacities, has now arrived at our office. We will look at it together in this review.

Official specification

Right at the beginning, we will look together at the official specifications of the Yenkee YPB 3010 power bank, as is usual with our reviews. I mentioned above that this piece belongs to the segment of huge power banks - specifically, it has an official capacity of 30 mAh, but the real one will of course be a bit smaller. As for the connectors, there are quite a few available. The output connectors are 000x USB-A, where the first one has an output of 2V/5A and the second has a output of 2.1V/5A. More input connectors are available, namely USB-C (1V/5A), Micro USB (2V/5A) and Lightning (2V/5A). The yenkee YPB 1,5 power bank has dimensions of 3010 x 165 x 82 millimeters and weighs 32 grams, so it is quite a big deal, but it will ensure the proper endurance of your devices. The price of this power bank is 640 crowns.

Packing

The power bank Yenkee YPB 3010 is stored in a black box, where on the front we find the power bank itself depicted, together with information about the biggest advantage in the form of capacity. The same information is also found on the sides, with a description of the power bank on the back, together with the specifications at the bottom of the box. After opening the box, just pull out the plastic carrying case in which the reviewed power bank is stored. Together with it, you will receive a short Micro USB - USB charging cable and a manual in several languages, which, however, is practically unnecessary in the case of a power bank. You won't find more in the package - and you really don't need more.

Processing

Of course, the manufacturer used a plastic construction for the reviewed power bank. However, this is not exactly some cheap plastic - on the contrary, the power bank feels robust in the hand, due to its weight, among other things, in any case, it doesn't fall or crack anywhere, even when the body is pressed hard. Over a large part of the body, the plastic is matte, only on the sides we can find a shiny design strip, which, however, will definitely get scratched during long-term use. On the underside of the Yenkee YPB 3010 we find the specifications again, on the front we find all the connectors already mentioned. The upper side above the connectors is fitted with a display that can display information about the charging status of the powerbank and the connectors used for charging the device or charging the powerbank itself. On the right side of the display, we find the activation button, which, among other things, also lights up the display with information about the charge.

Personal experience

The Yenkee YPB 3010 power bank does exactly what is expected of it – it can easily charge virtually any mobile device these days. Whether it is a smartphone, wireless headphones, camera, controller or anything else that you can charge via classic USB, the reviewed power bank will have no problem with it. As for the display, it is definitely very useful, as it shows the exact state of charge of the power bank, which is definitely better than the very common indicator in the form of four LEDs, where you simply have no chance to determine the exact state of charge. I have no problem with the processing of the power bank, it is very robust and will most likely withstand a fall, but of course we did not try it in the editorial office. Even when charging two devices at the same time, there is no heating and I had no problem with this power bank the whole time.

Yenkee YPB 3010

On the other hand, it is definitely a shame that this power bank offers only two output USB-A connectors. In practice, this means that you can charge with a maximum power of 10W, which is certainly nothing extra these days. For such a huge power bank, I would probably expect at least one USB-C output, which could support, for example, Power Delivery for fast charging of Apple phones. For example, I would definitely replace this USB-C output connector with a Micro USB input connector, which is rarely used nowadays and is gradually being phased out. Along with that, I would definitely appreciate a USB-C cable in the package as well. However, considering the price of only 839 crowns, we definitely cannot expect a high-end power bank with support for fast charging and the latest standards, so I definitely do not want to complain, and the Yenkee YPB 3010 will definitely find its customers.

záver

Are you looking for an ordinary power bank that has a huge capacity at your disposal? If you answered yes, then you might like the reviewed Yenkee YPB 3010 power bank. It has a capacity of a dizzying 30 mAh, which means that it can charge your portable devices several times, while at the same time you can use two USB-A charge up to two devices. The display on the front side takes care of displaying information about the state of charge of the powerbank and the charging connectors used, which comes in handy and I personally value it more than the ordinary LEDs of most similar powerbanks. Thanks to the three input connectors, you are sure that you will be able to charge the power bank in any way. If you don't need fast charging and want to always have enough juice on hand for your portable devices, you will definitely like the Yenkee YPB 000 power bank and in that case it definitely has my recommendation.
