At our magazine, we have been covering power banks relatively extensively in reviews in recent months. There is nothing to be surprised about, as it is always a highly demanded product, so new and new types are constantly being created, which differ from each other in all kinds of properties. For example, you can buy power banks that are simple and cheap, or those that have, for example, a premium design, high capacity, great connector equipment, etc. I have personally written reviews on all kinds of power banks, so I consider myself a power bank expert in a way. To make matters worse, we will look at power banks as part of this review as well - specifically, we will be talking about Swissten Power Line power banks, which are in the cheaper range, but still with great equipment.

Review of one power bank Swissten Power Line I wrote some time ago, but it was a flagship model with a capacity of 30.000 mAh. However, not every user necessarily needs such a large powerbank, not only because of its unusability, but also because of its dimensions and weight. The good news is that Swissten Power Line power banks are also available in smaller capacities, which many of you will appreciate. Right from the start, I can reveal that Swissten Power Line power banks, despite their low price, pleasantly surprise with their features, so you have a lot to look forward to.

Packing

If you've bought anything from Swissten lately, you've probably received the product in a white box with red and black design elements. The reviewed Swissten Power Line power banks also have exactly the same packaging. On the front of the box you will find a picture of the power bank itself, along with basic information and connector markings. The back side then has the exact specifications, together with the instructions for using the power bank in several languages, thanks to which there is no other unnecessary paper inside the box. Once you open the box, you just need to pull out the plastic carrying case, in which you will find the power bank itself. In addition to it, the package also includes a USB-C - USB-C cable with a length of one meter.

Processing

The Swissten Power Line powerbanks are all processed identically, here of course apart from the dimensions and weight, which depend on the capacity. The material used is, of course, ABS plastic in black, which it is important to mention is non-flammable and heat resistant, which increases safety. On the top of the power bank you will find the Swissten logo, together with the LED indicator of the charge status, the back side is clean except for the printed certificates and specifications. On one of the sides of the Power Line power bank, you will always find a button to activate the power bank. The front side has all the connectors, the number and properties of which depend on the capacity of the power bank.

Personal experience

I tested all the reviewed Power Line power banks from Swissten over several weeks, and always alternately. As for personal experience, I haven't encountered any problems during this time - so everything works exactly as it should. I tested the charging on several different devices, specifically on the iPhone and other phones, iPad, AirPods, etc. I was not particularly surprised by the functionality of these devices, but what surprised me, on the contrary, was the fact that these power banks can also charge a MacBook via USB-C. that is, except for the smallest 5.000 mAh power bank, which does not have a USB-C output. In any case, given that the maximum power of these power banks is 20 W, we cannot talk about charging with Macs, but rather about slower discharge and longer operating time. Most of the other powerbanks I tested either didn't charge at all, or kept disconnecting and connecting on their own.

When using the full power of the power bank, there is no significant heating, even when charging multiple devices at once. Keep in mind that the maximum power shown is really the maximum, so if you charge multiple devices at the same time, the power will be split and you may lose fast charging. Many users do not know this and think that all connectors can provide their maximum performance at the same time, but this is not the case. I also really like that fast charging can also be used to charge the powerbanks themselves - you don't have to rely on the fact that they charge with a low power of 5 W these days. If it weren't for this fast charging, you would probably have to charge larger powerbanks for several tens of hours. which is simply unacceptable.
