You may not even realize it, but the charging cable is the accessory that you use most often with your device. Of course, you get an original Apple cable for every iPhone and iPad, but not every user is satisfied with it. Some users complain about insufficient resistance or generally about its short duration. Thanks to this problem, a kind of "hole" was created in the market, which some manufacturers were not afraid to fill. Swissten is also one of them. This company decided to create quality cables with textile braiding and great durability for more demanding customers. So let's look at them together.

Official specification

As I already outlined in the introduction, the cables that Swissten produce are really robust. They carry a current of up to 3A and can be bent up to 10 times without any sign of damage. Another great advantage is that Swissten offers its cables in four different lengths. The shortest cable is 20 cm and fits, for example, a power bank. The longer cable is then 1,2 m. You can use this cable practically everywhere, both in the car and, for example, on the bedside table for charging. The second longest cable has a length of 2m and you can use it in bed, for example, when you want to be sure that the cable will reach absolutely everywhere and you will not be forced to disconnect the phone unnecessarily. For demanding customers, a 3 m cable is also available - with this you can easily walk halfway across your room without having to disconnect the device from the charger.

You can also choose cables from the menu both without MFi certification, which is cheaper, and also with MFi certification (Made for iPhone). This guarantees that the cable will not stop working with the arrival of a new iOS and, in general, you will not have any problems with the cable. Of course, I must not forget one of the biggest highlights of these cables, and that is the wide range of colors in which they are available. You can choose from black, grey, silver, gold, red, rose gold, green and blue. The ends of the cables themselves are then made of metal, so they are also of very high quality in this respect. Speaking of terminals, Swissten naturally supplies both classic USB - Lightning cables and USB-C - Lightning cables designed for fast charging of Apple devices.

Packing

The packaging of cables from Swissten is practically completely simple. Inside the box there is only a plastic carrier on which the cable is wound - do not look for anything else inside the package. As for the box itself, it is, as Swissten is used to, modern and simply beautiful. From the front, there is branding and descriptions. There must be a small transparent window in the middle, thanks to which you can look at the cable before actually opening it. On the back side there are certificates, branding and we mustn't forget the instructions. From an ecological point of view, it is nice that Swissten does not needlessly print manuals on paper separately. Also, in the case of cables, not too many people really read them.

Personal experience

I've been testing Swissten cables for a really long time. Whether it's the classic Lightning cable that my girlfriend has been using for over half a year, or my PD cable that I use to charge my iPhone XS. I mustn't forget, of course, the USB-C to USB-C cable I use to charge my MacBook Pro 2017. I'll admit that I didn't trust braided cables in the past and thought it was some kind of marketing ploy. But I have to admit that I was wrong, because Swissten cables are really very durable and after more than half a year of use, they still look like new. The only disadvantage is that the textile braid can easily get dirty. In most cases, however, it is enough to take a cloth and run the cable over it.

I use the two-meter PD cable in the charger that is by the bed. Since I charge several devices on my bed at the same time, I use it in combination with this cable USB hub from Swissten, which also works flawlessly. With its length, I use the classic 1,2 meter cable in the car, where it very often gets really busy - again without the slightest problem. I use the shortest, 20-centimeter cable, in emergency situations when I need to charge my iPhone with a power bank from Swissten. Everything really works as it should. If you are looking for a cable that is really durable and can withstand almost anything, that is, at least as far as ordinary handling is concerned, then cables from Swissten will serve you perfectly.

If you are looking for a new cable for your Apple device, either because you simply need a new one, or because your old one broke and does not work as it should, cables from Swissten are the right nut for you. If you choose Swissten cables, you will get really premium quality and a great design. In addition, the cables are not expensive at all, and for a very reasonable price you get a cable with a textile braid and a metal end. And if braided cables don't suit you, you can still reach for original cables from Apple, which you can also buy on the Swissten website at a great price.

Of course, both Lightning cables and cables with a microUSB end, or USB-C and Power Delivery cables are available.
