In today's review, we will look at a pair of very nice plastic-leather covers from the workshop of the Czech company Lemory. Although it is not yet heard so much among apple lovers, but given the great things it has on offer, it is probably only a matter of time before the exact opposite will be the case. After all, enthusiastic reactions to its products, led by covers, are gradually increasing. We have therefore decided to check whether they are justified or not. So sit back and start reading. The review of Lemory covers is about to begin.

Packing

If you are used to luxurious packaging of accessories for your iPhones, you may find this from Lemora somewhat disappointing. This is not a luxury, but only a recycled box, which can also arrive with a name or similar "kikk" pasted on it. This is because the cover manufacturer focuses on sustainability and tries not to waste in this field either, which he himself admits on the message in the box. However, there are many more similar eco-friendly products. Probably the most interesting thing is the use of leather scraps, which are produced during the production of seats, precisely for the production of covers. With a bit of exaggeration, it could be said that covers are created from waste. It is also very interesting that after the user stops using them, they can send them back to the manufacturer, who, according to him, will recycle the plastic tub and then use the skin from the back to fill punching bags. In short, sustainability can be felt not only from the covers, but also from every inch of the company, and I think that's only good. A similar mindset makes life on our planet better.

Processing and design

The range of covers from Lemora is quite wide. You will find both classic plastic transparent models and leather ones in the Air version, which provides a less distracting design at the expense of protection, and in the Protect version, which are a bit more robust and at the same time will provide your phone with higher protection. Specifically, two covers from the Protect series arrived at our office, one of which was black and the other was red and black from the limited edition. It was even decorated with the engraved logo of Jablíčkář.

The covers are made of a plastic tub, which serves as a de facto form or, if you prefer, a reinforcement for the leather, which is glued to the back. It is finely machined, which makes it really pleasant in the hand. However, the main protective function is, of course, in charge of the frame, which should ensure the survival of 26 drops of the phone from 130 centimeters - at least that's what the manufacturer states on its website. However, I personally did not really risk a similar test.

Lemora covers

If I were to evaluate the processing of the covers as such, I was very pleased. Everything about them fits exactly as it should. The leather on the back, at least in my cases, holds absolutely perfectly, and you would look in vain for any unfinished products or manufacturing defects that would put a person off balance. In short, a product that looks and works great. Its price is 699 crowns, with the fact that you pay an additional 300 crowns for engraving.

Testing

I think the best way to test the covers is regular life, which is why I tried to expose them to as much as possible in the past weeks - I used them as primary covers, thanks to which they enjoyed or, on the contrary, endured practically everything I encountered. With the passage of time, however, I can confidently state that the covers coped with everything perfectly. Not only did they protect my phone perfectly during a couple of nasty falls, when I worriedly picked it up from the ground and prayed that I wouldn't have to deal with a screen repair, but at the same time they managed to survive on their own without any damage. After my testing, you would look for scratches, abrasions or any other damage on them in vain, which can be taken in a way as a promise of very solid resistance in all directions.

If I had to evaluate how the cover feels in the hand, I would also evaluate it very positively. Personally, I really like the leather on the covers and its combination with the plastic frame does not offend me at all - quite the contrary. Compared to the original cover from Apple, the one from Lemora sticks to me better thanks to the different material on the edges. On the other hand, I feel that the solution from Lemora is a little heavier compared to the original, which is of course also reflected in the overall weight of the phone. It cannot in any case be described as any significant, but it can be recognized upon closer comparison. However, you certainly won't have to deal with a few extra grams - especially with a product that simply won't transfer or anything like that. Another thing that some of you might perceive as a certain negative is the overlap of the front frame over the edge of the display, which is therefore not covered by the cover. Personally, however, I think that those who want to protect their display still rely on glass and not on the overlaps of the covers, as they offer really minimal protection.

I will briefly dwell on engraving, as a cover with an engraved logo of Jablíčkář has arrived at our editorial office. The quality of this surface treatment seems to me to be at a really high level with Lemora, as the logo is burned into the cover absolutely precisely, with sharp lines and, in short, really nice. I find that the engraving is quite deep, which makes the logo on the back of the case stand out perfectly. Thanks to this, it can be said at the same time that you do not have to worry about problems such as tearing or penetrating the skin, as you will get your hands on covers with relatively robust embossing.

Summary

Evaluating the cover from Lemora is simple in its own way. They fulfilled exactly what I would expect from covers of a similar type, and what's more, they were top notch. So, if you enjoy leather covers that can give your phone the appropriate flair at the same time, and you are also a fan of ecology and you like the idea of Lemora, there is probably not much to think about here. I can recommend the covers from this company's workshop with a clear conscience.
