The biggest novelties of the 9th generation iPad mainly consist of its better front camera, more powerful chip, but also the increased storage of the basic version. The price tag below 10 CZK makes the tablet a great secondary device, with not much to complain about. CNET's Scott Stein of the 9th generation iPad, they say it's a "good enough" entry-level ‌iPad‌ that actually covers all the core features of Apple's tablet lineup the best. According to him, it mainly scores with the price, because it is most often a secondary device serving mainly households, children and schools. The Mini is simply small, the Air expensive (and lacks focus centering) and the Pro unnecessarily powerful.

Tom's Guide Magazine mentions that one of the most welcome improvements to the new iPad is the increase in base storage from 32GB to 64GB. But he notes that even that may not be enough these days. He even recommends investing your money in the higher 256GB model to make full use of the tablet's potential. While our basic model costs CZK 9, the one with higher storage costs CZK 990.

Caitlin McGarry of Gizmodo highlights improvements to the front-facing camera, which includes significantly improved resolution and a Centering feature that uses an ultra-wide lens to automatically keep the camera focused on the subject in front of it, even if it's moving. The previous model had a front camera of only 1,2 MPx, the new one has 12 MPx. So it's a huge jump, which can be seen even during normal video calls, regardless of the new function.

A13 Bionic chip

Magazine's Andrew Cunningham Ars Technica took a close look at the A13 Bionic chip in the new ‌iPad‌, which is an order of magnitude higher than the previous A12 in the 8th generation tablet. He called it "a nice generational improvement", but not "transformational". The jump from A12 to A13 is not as drastic as it was in the case of previous generations, when they switched from A10 to A12. CNN's Jacob Krol Regarding the performance, he notes that although it is not the same as in the new iPhones or iPad Pro, it easily handles everything, from the most intensive tasks performed in various applications to playing demanding games. Its limits will become apparent over time, even if long-term software support is provided by Apple.

iPad 9

As far as battery life is concerned, the 9th generation iPad even lasted a little longer than the current iPad Air. Specifically, it was 10 hours and 41 minutes in video stream testing, which for example surpassed even the 12,9" iPad Pro. All reviewers more or less agree that it's a solid device that's on track to become the most popular iPad in the lineup. Although there are few novelties, they are essential in terms of making it a completely universal device. And that despite its already outdated appearance.
