Vratislav Holub Electric scooters are skyrocketing in popularity, which can be seen all around us. There's really nothing to be surprised about. E-scooters represent an extremely simple method of transportation, while some of the better models have no problem riding significantly longer distances, making them the ideal partner for all kinds of trips. A great example is a hot new item Kaaboo Skywalker 10H, which pushes ordinary scooters from the current market to the back burner. I had the opportunity to properly test this e-scooter and I have to admit that I am extremely surprised by its capabilities so far.
The Kaaboo brand has only recently entered the Czech market and presents itself with electric scooters that set a fairly high bar for other manufacturers. Supposedly, this should be the best of the best that is actually available at the moment. Right from the start, I have to admit that in the case of the Skywalker 10H model, the statement is not far from the truth, as the scooter surprises not only with its specifications, but above all with its use, performance and overall functionality.
Official specification
As is our custom, let's first see what the manufacturer actually promises from the product. At first glance, the great 800W motor, which can develop a speed of up to 50 km/h, is not afraid even of a 25° incline. In combination with a 48V 15,6Ah battery, it should provide a range of up to 65 kilometers, while a possible charge from so-called "from zero to a hundred" will take about 8 hours. In terms of safety, the model is equipped with front, rear and brake lights, blue backlighting, disc brakes on both wheels in combination with an electronic engine brake and front and rear suspension. Of course, it can also be simply folded and placed, for example, in the trunk of a car. But it is necessary to take into account the weight of 21,4 kilograms. In terms of size, the product measures 118,6 x 118,6 x 120 centimeters.
Processing and design
I have to admit that in terms of workmanship and overall design, this e-scooter did a great job. Its more robust construction and elegant black design immediately point out that it is not quite an ordinary city model, but something bigger - more dominant. At the same time, the board itself, on which you stand while riding, is slightly wider and thus prepares you for faster riding. We can see more such differences. The handlebars and even the tires are also stronger, thanks to which it is possible to overcome even more demanding surfaces.

I would like to dwell for a moment on the handlebars themselves, which are extremely important for driving and we can find on them everything we actually need for driving. At the same time, we must not forget to mention their possibility of height adjustment. On the left side of the handlebars, there is the ignition, where you need to place the key - it simply won't work without it, the lever for the rear brake and two relatively important buttons. One turns on the lighting (front and rear lights) and the other is used for the horn. On the right we find a round display showing everything we need. Specifically, this is the current gear, speed and other information about the distance traveled and the like. On the side of the aforementioned display, directly above the lever for the front brake, there is another lever that functions as a gas. So, with its help, we regulate our speed.
In any case, I would like to return to the mentioned backlight. Although its presence made me extremely happy and practically brought me back in time, as its appearance reminds me of the neons from GTA: San Andreas, I still have a minor complaint with it. The button for its activation is located on the front side of the board, towards the front wheel. I would certainly rather welcome it in a more sympathetic form, for example on the left or right side of the handlebars. Thanks to this, the backlight could be stylishly switched on and off even while driving - without the need to bend your back.
Own experience
I initially approached the scooter with more respect than other models, which I can only recommend to everyone. In the moment, I was able to bewitch the performance that this model actually offers. I first took the Kaabo Skywalker 10H scooter on a closed road, where I carefully familiarized myself with all the options and functions that can actually be used. For this reason, I would like to point out three step speeds – 1 (slowest), 2 and 3 (fastest). The acceleration is practically the same for all of them, but the differences can be found in the maximum speed. While I didn't get over 25 km/h on the "number one", I managed to get a little over 33-35 km/h on the number two. In third gear, I managed to drive at a speed of about 45 km/h. I believe that with my 75 kilograms, I could reach the promised 50 km/h, however, the situation did not allow me to do so even in one attempt.
In short, speed is the domain of this scooter, and thanks to the robust construction, larger tires and suspension, I don't even feel like I'm going that fast when riding. In this regard, I would also like to highlight the just mentioned suspension, which works surprisingly well. With ordinary (electric) scooters, you usually feel every unevenness. However, this is not the case with this model, with which I can also drive around (± flat) gardens without any problems. Since I don't want to fold it right at the gate and then carry the nearly 22 kg scooter all the way to the garage, the easiest option is to drive directly to it. Nevertheless, it is important to remember that this is an urban e-scooter and is not quite suitable for off-road use. In such a case, damage could occur at a moment when, for example, you would not have noticed a depression or a hole in the meadow.
In short, the electric motor in combination with a quality construction works and it is prescribed for everyday use. I can confirm for myself that I did not encounter any major problems during normal use. At the same time, I liked the possibility of really brisk ascent even to more demanding hills, which I especially enjoyed in the evenings while watching the sunset. In the evening or at night, the aforementioned lighting will come in handy. The front lamp shines surprisingly strongly and can therefore sufficiently illuminate the area in front of the scooter. At the same time, it is also excellently visible from behind, where, in combination with the brake light, it informs the driver or cyclists behind you that you are on your way or that you are stopping. The lighting can then be supplemented with a blue backlight.
Of course, it's not all about driving. That is precisely why we must not forget to mention the practical stand, which I myself did not believe in at first. This is one small leg, which evoked in me the feeling that the scooter could not hold on to it due to its weight. However, the opposite is (fortunately) true. As for the composition itself, that too is quite pleasant and simple. Here I would just slightly correct the manufacturer's claim that the scooter can be folded in 5 seconds. I can't imagine a situation in which I would be able to do it so quickly. At the same time, the higher weight bothers me a little. In any case, this is of course justified for an electric scooter of this type, and if I had to choose between weight or a compromise on performance, range or ride comfort, I would definitely not change.

As for the range, it strongly depends on the user's weight and driving style. During smooth and not too aggressive driving, I did not manage to discharge the battery even once. But when I was constantly riding up a steeper hill, when it was necessary to have the "gas" to the maximum, it was relatively easy to see how the scooter was running out of juice. However, in new condition, the Kaabo Skywalker 10H electric scooter can easily handle trips of 60 km, provided that you do not use it too much. At the same time, taking into account the performance of the battery, it is not advisable to drive all the way to zero.
Summary - Is it worth it?
If you've read this far, you probably know my opinion on the Kaabo Skywalker 10H very well. I am honestly extremely excited about this product and find it hard to find fault with it. In short, this electric scooter works and everything it can do, it can do it well. Specifically, this model is able to please not only with its performance and speed, but above all with a comfortable ride, sufficiently robust construction, high-quality suspension and perfect range. At the same time, I see this piece not only as an ordinary electric scooter or a tool for transportation, but mainly as a source of entertainment. In the current weather, it is a perfect addition to hot days, which can also cool you down at the same time.
Since this is a hot new product, you can only pre-order this electric scooter for now. Its standard price is 24 crowns, however, as part of the aforementioned pre-order, it is available four thousand cheaper, i.e. for 990 crowns. I would recommend this model to everyone who is looking for a better scooter that can handle more demanding surfaces and longer distances.
