About the interesting holder Quad lock we already wrote last year. This is an interesting concept of attaching a special package using a unique locking mechanism, either to a bike or to any other surface. Firm Suggestions and Complaints now it has also come with the latest iPhone 5 holder and its associated bike kit, Quad Lock Bike kit.
The set consists of three parts – the bike holder itself with a locking mechanism and rubber bands for attaching to the bar, a special packaging and a new transparent cover for the display called Poncho. The mount hasn't changed since the first version of the Quad Lock, nor did it have to. Thanks to the rubberized lower part, it holds well on any pole and does not slide. It is fastened with the included rubber bands or tightening straps. The rubber bands are very strong with relatively little play, so there is no need to worry about tearing or loosening, and you can easily lift the whole bike by the holder, as we saw with our own eyes.
On the contrary, the cover of the phone itself has undergone a change. The previous version was made of hardened plastic, which provided durability, but the iPhone was very difficult to remove from the case. Annex therefore chose a softer rubber plastic for the new case, from which removing the iPhone is a matter of seconds, while still providing sufficient protection for the phone. The cover extends approximately 1,5 mm over the edge, thus protecting the iPhone from all sides in the event of a fall.
The case is slightly bulging at the back due to the fastening mechanism. This makes it slightly impractical as a cover for everyday wear, especially due to the prominent cutout. Even so, the thickness of the phone will not increase significantly, so it can serve as an emergency cover. The novelty is the Poncho, a transparent silicone case for the front part, which also extends over the back part and thus provides protection for the phone from water and mud. It was the absence of this part that was criticized in the original set.
The silicone case partially impairs the visibility of the display, moreover, fingerprints are quite clearly visible on it, but it still has no major effect on the touch properties and the iPhone can be comfortably controlled with it. Only the volume buttons are hard to press, but you probably won't miss them on the bike.
The whole set holds securely even with big shocks on the bike, and thanks to the Poncho, you don't have to be afraid to ride even in more extreme conditions, for example on muddy forest roads. You can buy the Quad Lock Bike Kit from the Czech distributor Kabelmania.cz for 1 CZK. If you already own a Quad Lock mount, it is available for purchase iPhone 5 case i Poncho separately.

I don't see a reason to expose the iPhone to shocks... it must be liquidating, the vibrations, especially when driving on more demanding terrain
Liquidation? Like how? The iPhone is not a computer with a conventional platter hard drive, so I don't understand where you get that there is no reason to subject the iPhone to shocks? The iPhone can handle it. The only thing I would be afraid of is the iPhone falling out and that's different.
I'd rather add 4 hundred to the original LifeProof, which can also eliminate shocks. Not to mention waterproof and dustproof :-)
May I know where you can get LifeProof for 2 CZK, so I mean the packaging and the bike holder? On the manufacturer's website, it costs my brother CZK 000...
Personally, I think about it. Optics in the camera, generally connecting flex cables in the iPhone, or shocks as such for the entire device. Not to mention dust and moisture. It's not a tank, it's an ordinary smartphone. In my opinion, it is much better to have it attached to the hand in a special case, there the shocks are more dampened and the phone is not exposed to such a danger of falling as when it is attached to the handlebars with four rubber bands.
I don't understand why the price is mentioned as a negative. If someone has a phone for about 17000 kc, they can easily spend that amount. If not, something is wrong. If someone writes to me that he spent a lot of time on the iPhone to be able to buy it, I don't understand why he would want to dispose of it like this in a similar way. iPhone is not an outdoor phone!!! And I hope it never will be.
I have a holder for my bike from HAMA and it's perfect, thin and light, it holds like it's sewn on.. I recommend about 350 CZK.. I'll have a giant brick on my bike that I'll be ashamed of.
May I know which holder from Ham specifically?
If I may recommend, try the Topeak Ridecase. I think the price/performance ratio is ideal. It offers several mounting options (both on the head tube and on the handlebars, with the possibility to switch the phone to landscape mode, tilt the phone differently, use a flashlight or take photos and videos). I've been looking for the right one for a long time, and I think I've found it. The holder comes with a transparent touch cover on top for free, which protects it against rain and dirt. http://www.topeak.com/products/PanoBike/ridecase_ip5_wt
