Angry Birds is a world game phenomenon. It has been building its position on the mobile game market since the end of 2009. Since then, several versions of this popular game have been released, with which you are surely familiar. Now Rovio brings a version of Star Wars with the good old birds in a new Star Wars jacket.

Star Wars is a series of films based on the conflict between the Jedi and Sith orders. This may remind us a little of the conflict between angry birds and piggies, who have been fighting each other on our devices for several years. Some clever person at Rovio thought that they could merge these very pairs. And it was a really brilliant idea.

You might expect Rovio to take Angry Birds, put them in a Star Wars theme, and that's the end of the new version for them. Fortunately, they didn't stop at Rovio at this point. As always, the new birds are in several different locations. In the first version of the game, two locations and one bonus one await us. In the beginning, you get to Tatooine, the home of Luke and Anakin Skywalker. Next up is the Death Star. Cute robots 3CPO and R2D2 await action in bonus missions. In the next game update, we can look forward to the ice planet Hoth. The combination of the environment with gravity (on Tatooine) and then several inspired levels is nice Angry Birds Space, where in front of the Death Star you fly around planets without gravity and inside their gravitational field like in the Space version. There is still a Jedi Journey available on the planet Dagobah, where Luke Skywalker went in search of Master Yoda in the movie. Unfortunately, you only get to play one level. If you want to play further, you have to buy this level with an In-App purchase for 1,79 euros.

The characters themselves are not just birds and pigs in disguise. They are also Star Wars characters with their own abilities. And this is where Rovio really excelled. In the first installments, he is the classic red bird Luke Skywalker and can do nothing but fly. However, he is then taken in by a Jedi Knight, Obi-Wan Kenobi, who trains him. Subsequently, Luke becomes an apprentice with a lightsaber. So when playing in flight, you can tap the screen to swing a lightsaber and destroy enemies or the environment. Obi-Wan Kenobi himself didn't come short either. His ability is the power he can use to move objects in a certain direction. So if you have crates in the game, just fly into them with Obi-Wan and with another tap throw them in some direction and destroy the piggies.

As you progress through the game, more characters are added. You will gradually meet Han Solo (whom you definitely remember from the movie, as he was played by Harrison Ford), the Chewbacca and the rebel soldiers. Han Solo has a pistol, and wherever you tap in the game after he fires his slingshot, he fires three shots. Chewbacca is the biggest bird in the game and will demolish everything in its path. Rebel soldiers are familiar mini birds that can split into three more. In the bonuses there is also R2D2 with the ability of a stun gun and a 3CPO that can fly to pieces. Subjectively, all the abilities of the birds are much more fun than in the previous installments. When destroying pigs, you can also use the Mighty Falcon bonus, which is a well-known fighter from the movie. First, you throw the homing egg, and then the Falcon flies in and blows up the place. After a successful level you get a medal.

Piglets are "disguised" as Imperial soldiers. The most handsome soldiers are the Stormtroopers in helmets, who sometimes have a gun and shoot. Hitting the missiles with your bird knocks it away and you can no longer use any of its abilities. Pigs of different sizes are also in the costumes of commanders and other soldiers. Other characters are, for example, Jaws or Tusken riders. One character is even an Empire fighter, where the cabin is made up of a pig and it flies along a predetermined path in the level.

The graphics are similar to other parts of Angry Birds. So it won't surprise you with anything, but it's at a great level. The game is accompanied by music and sounds from Star Wars. I like Star Wars and unlike other parts of Angry Birds, the jingle didn't get on my nerves after a while. As for the sounds themselves, they are faithful copies of the movie ones. When you swing your lightsaber, you'll hear its signature sound, just like when a pistol is fired. All this is complemented by the classic cries of birds and together it gives a very nice game atmosphere. If you're a Star Wars fan, you'll definitely notice little things like the two moons in the background on Tatooine, the Death Star in the background in the levels of the same name, or the animation between levels where the scenes transition from one side to the other, just like in the movie.

From a technical point of view, you will not get iCloud synchronization of progress in the game, nor the iOS universal application for iPad and Phone for one price. On the other hand, you will have a lot of fun with the birds with new and more fun abilities in the Star Wars jacket. All this for a reasonable price of 0,89 euros for the iPhone version and 2,69 euros for the iPad version. This game is a must for Star Wars fans. If you didn't enjoy the previous parts, I still recommend the game, because it has a completely new and more fun charge. I can only criticize a small number of levels, but it is clear from the previous parts that we will see new ones in the coming weeks.
