We can charge our devices in two different ways – wired or wireless. Of course, both of these methods have their positive and negative aspects and it is up to each of us to choose. Currently, however, wireless charging, which is supposed to be more convenient for users, has been pushing forward for several years. You can charge wirelessly, for example, using simple chargers, which in most cases are only intended for one device. In addition to these, there are also special charging stands, thanks to which you can wirelessly charge the entire fleet of your (not only) Apple products. In this review, we'll take a look at one such stand together - it can charge up to three devices at once, supports MagSafe and is from Swissten.

Official specification

As already mentioned in the title and the previous paragraph, the reviewed Swissten stand can wirelessly charge up to three devices at once. Specifically, it is the iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods (or others). The maximum power of the charging stand is 22.5 W, with up to 15 W available for the iPhone, 2.5 W for the Apple Watch and 5 W for AirPods or other wireless charging devices. It should be mentioned that the charging part for apple phones uses MagSafe, so is compatible with all iPhones 12 and later. Anyway, like other MagSafe chargers, this one can wirelessly charge any device, so you can use the special Swissten MagStick covers and wirelessly charge any iPhone 8 and later, up to the 11 series, using this stand. The dimensions of the stand are 85 x 106,8 x 166.3 millimeters and its price is 1 crowns, but with the use of a discount code you can get to 1 crowns.

Packing

The Swissten 3-in-1 MagSafe charging stand is packaged in a box that is absolutely iconic for the brand. This means it's color matched in white and red, with the front showing the stand itself in action, along with other performance information, etc. On one of the sides you'll find information about the charge status indicator and other features, the back is then supplemented with instructions for use, dimensions of the stand and compatible devices. After opening, just pull out the plastic carrying case, which contains the stand itself, from the box. Along with that, you will also find a small booklet in the package, along with a USB-C to USB-C cable of 1,5 meters in length.

Processing

The stand under review is very well made and despite the fact that it is made of plastic, it looks robust. I'll start with the top, where the MagSafe-enabled wireless charging pad for the iPhone is located. The great thing about this surface is that you can tilt it as needed, up to 45° - this is useful for example if the stand is placed on a table and you charge your phone while you work on it, so you can see all the notifications. Otherwise, this part is plastic, but in the case of the edge, a glossy plastic is chosen to ensure a more graceful design. The MagSafe charging "icon" is depicted in the upper part of the plate and the Swissten branding is located below.

Directly behind the iPhone charging pad, there is an Apple Watch charging port on the back. I'm very happy that with this stand, users don't need to purchase an additional original charging cradle, as is customary with other Apple Watch charging stands - there is an integrated cradle, which is also black in color, so it doesn't detract from the nice design. Both the charging surface for the iPhone and the protrusion for the Apple Watch are located on a foot with a base, on which there is a surface for charging AirPods, in any case, you can charge any other device with support for Qi wireless charging here.

On the front of the base there is a status line with three diodes that inform you of the charging status. The left part of the line informs about the charge of the AirPods (i.e. the base), the middle part informs about the charge of the iPhone, and the right part about the charge status of the Apple Watch. There are four non-slip feet on the bottom, thanks to which the stand will stay in place. In addition, there are vents for heat dissipation, which, among other things, are also located on the underside of the Apple Watch charging lug. Thanks to them, the stand does not overheat.

Personal experience

At the outset, it is important to mention that in order to use the potential of this charging stand, you must of course reach for a sufficiently powerful adapter. There is a sticker on the stand itself with information that you should at least use a 2A/9V adapter, i.e. an adapter with a power of 18W, in any case, to provide maximum power, of course reach for an even more powerful one - ideal for example Swissten 25W charging adapter with USB-C. If you have a sufficiently powerful adapter, you just need to use the included cable and connect the stand to it, the input is located on the back of the base.

Using the integrated MagSafe in the stand, you can charge your iPhone just as quickly as using a classic wireless charger. As for the Apple Watch, due to the limited performance, it is necessary to expect slower charging, in any case, if you charge the watch overnight, it probably won't bother you at all. The wireless charger in the base is really intended, again due to limited performance, primarily for charging AirPods. Of course, you can also charge other devices with it, but only with a power of 5W - such an iPhone can receive up to 7.5 W via Qi, while other phones can easily charge twice as much.

I had no problem using the reviewed wireless charging stand from Swissten. Primarily, I really appreciate the already mentioned status bar, which informs you about the charging status of all three devices - if the part is colored blue, it means it's charged, and if it's green, it's charging. You can easily find out if you have already charged it, you just need to learn the order of the LEDs (from left to right, AirPods, iPhone and Apple Watch). The magnet in the MagSafe charger is strong enough to hold the iPhone even in a completely vertical position. However, it is necessary to take into account that every time you want to remove the iPhone from MagSafe, you will have to hold the stand with your other hand, otherwise you will simply move it. But there's not much you can do about it, unless the stand has several kilograms to keep it glued to the table. I didn't even experience overheating during use, thanks also to the ventilation holes.

Conclusion and discount

Are you looking for a wireless charger that can charge most of your Apple devices at once, i.e. iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods? If so, I would recommend this reviewed 3-in-1 wireless charging stand from Swissten instead of a classic charger in the form of a "cake". Not only is it very compact, it is also well-made and you can ideally place it on your desk, where, thanks to MagSafe, you can immediately access all incoming notifications on your iPhone. So whether you only want to recharge while working or during the night, you simply need to put all your devices down here and wait for them to charge. If you own the mentioned three products from Apple, I can definitely recommend this stand from Swissten - in my opinion, it is a great choice.
