One of the most intense arcade racing games ever is back! Raging Thunder 2 will give you a real kick..

Most people would never lend me their beloved bike. Also, most of those who really know me, unfortunately, sat next to me driving tuned wreckers with a battle cry in the well-known racing series Need for Speed, where I took corners by hitting the guardrails hard and after bouncing I just activated the nitro and I rocketed forward like a fighter jet. I've already scrapped two cars in the real world, so I have to admit that I'm definitely not going to be the new Colin McRae, which is why I happily welcomed the arcade racing sequel Raging Thunder 2 from the veterans at Polarbit.

If the company Polarbit doesn't tell you anything at all, I'll just briefly remind you that they are the guys behind the crazy racing game Raging Thunder for Symbian, which once upon a time scored points with almost everyone who had a smartphone.

Raging Thunder 2 comes to the iPhone in the same spirit, and the addictive arcade racing unleashes true frenzied fun.

At first glance, the diversity of the environment and the glittering reflections of ubiquitous impacts, bonuses, or sun rays will immediately surprise you. If there's one thing the authors have mastered, it's primarily the catchiness of the entire game. For a moment, I even had to stop in the menu to listen to the entire soundtrack, which I would have easily downloaded separately.

While in the first part we got multiplayer only after some time in the update, Raging Thunder 2 already includes it in the basic version, even if only via the Internet. After creating a profile, you can immediately measure your strength with other players on the official servers.

Raging Thunder 2 is simply arcade racing, so don't expect any professional simulation like Real Racing, but just a frantic drive from checkpoint to checkpoint, where you will get the necessary guts from the last strength and turn it up to full speed again. Raging Thunder 2 offers a really decent amount of fun and including the Campaign mode, you have a plethora of different modes available from Time Attack, Survival, Instant Race, Single Race, to Arcade.

Once you step on the gas, you have to work really hard to be in first place and earn money for the next car. After all, they are blessed in Raging Thunder 2. Their models in the garage may not dazzle in detail, but who would turn that into a science when the most important features of the cars are anyway, and these items serve their purpose perfectly. They are simply limited to speed, acceleration, turning and armor.

If you're wondering why your car has to have armor, pray that you have as many dashes as possible for this feature. During the ride, you have the opportunity to give your opponent a little push, or even take them out of the game for a while thanks to various track upgrades. You often prefer to take a shortcut to avoid the mainstream at least for a moment.

But opponents can also happily knock you off track, and they happily do so quite often. It happened to me many times that I was just about to take the lead and a threatened opponent simply pushed me into the crates with charges.

The authors have also improved the overall mobility of the car compared to the last part, and everything is now quite manageable. Although I would find one small complaint here. The button on the nitro isn't that big, and it's downright annoying to keep pressing it on the right side of the display while driving fast. You can solve everything in the options, where you can check its automatic activation.

If you're thinking about what to spend $5 on and you don't want to unnecessarily deal with laborious driving training and other useless things, then this pleasant relaxation is exactly for you.
