So if you are interested in current events and want to be informed about the apple world, definitely spend a few minutes on the following paragraphs.

An iPad with an OLED panel will arrive in 2022 at the earliest

If you are one of the regular readers of our magazine, then you certainly did not miss the information that Apple is preparing to implement OLED displays in its iPad Pro, which we should expect already in the second half of next year. This information was shared by the Korean website The Elec and at the same time added that the main suppliers of displays for Apple, i.e. Samsung and LG, are already working on these pieces. Now, however, slightly different information is starting to leak onto the Internet from a significantly more reliable source - from analysts from the British company Barclays.

According to their information, Apple is not going to introduce OLED panels in its apple tablets so quickly, and it is very unlikely that we will see this news before 2022. Moreover, this is a much more likely scenario than the one from The Elec. For a long time, there has been talk about the arrival of the iPad Pro with a so-called Mini-LED display, which many leakers and sources date to next year. What the reality will be, of course, is still unclear and we will have to wait for more detailed information.

Qualcomm is (for now) benefiting from the popularity of the iPhone 12

In recent years, there has been an extensive dispute between two Californian giants, namely Apple and Qualcomm. In addition, Apple was delayed in the implementation of 5G chips because its supplier, which was among others Intel, did not have sufficient technologies and was thus unable to create a mobile modem with support for 5G networks. Fortunately, everything was settled in the end and the mentioned Californian companies found a common language again. Precisely thanks to this, we finally got this much-anticipated news for this year's generation of Apple phones. And by the looks of it, Qualcomm must be very happy about this collaboration.

Apple is reaping success with its new phones all over the world, which is proven by their incredibly fast sales. Of course, this also affected Qualcomm's sales, which thanks to the iPhone 12 was able to surpass its main rival, Broadcom, in sales for the third quarter of this year. This information results from the analyzes of the Taiwanese company TrendForce. In the given period, Qualcomm's sales amounted to 4,9 billion dollars, which was a 37,6% year-over-year increase. On the other hand, Broadcom's revenue was "only" $4,6 billion.

But it's no secret that Apple is developing its own 5G chip, thanks to which it could stop relying on Qualcomm. The Cupertino company already bought the mobile modem division from Intel last year, when it also employed a number of former employees. So it's only a matter of time before Apple succeeds in creating a sufficiently high-quality chip. For now, however, it will have to rely on Qualcomm, and it can be expected that this will be the case for a few more years.

An Apple 1 computer was auctioned off for an astronomical amount

Currently, the very first Apple product, which is of course the Apple 1 computer, was auctioned at the RR auction in Boston. Behind its birth is the iconic duo Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs, who were able to literally assemble this piece in the garage of Jobs' parents. Only 175 were made, and what's more interesting is that an even smaller half still exist. The aforementioned piece has now been auctioned off for an incredible $736, which translates to roughly 862 million crowns.
