Sometimes I wonder how much easier my student life would be if I had an iPhone during my high school studies. It would certainly save me several A's, especially in math. This review is written for one such handy math application.

Quadratic Master is a handy math application from Czech developers Glimsoft (company website) to calculate quadratic equations, inequalities and functions. Therefore, it will be appreciated not only by every high school student who is unclear about this issue.

What surprised me is the application environment, which is solved very elegantly and intuitively, does not contain any unnecessary things and deals only with the above-mentioned mathematical issues. Orientation in the application is therefore very convenient. You have four "cards" to choose from. These are equations, inequalities, functions and program info.

For each calculation, all you have to do is enter specific numbers in the appropriate boxes, let them solve, and the task is done. What I like very much is that Quadratic Master does not "just" calculate, but also contains various tips and information about the given calculations.

For quadratic equations, this is the calculation procedure. Functions include basic information, the parabola, the shapes of the specified function, the peak where the graph opens, intersections, focus, etc. Thus, thanks to Quadratic Master, the user not only calculates certain examples, but can also better understand and learn about this issue .

When solving quadratic equations, you can have the solution procedure displayed, where you will see a textual description in addition to the calculations (e.g. what it means when the discriminant is negative). For inequalities, after entering the numbers, you choose one of the offered signs and the result is in the world. However, there is no textual description or procedure here.

For quadratic functions, you can choose from general, vertex and product form. As an output, you will get the calculation of almost everything you could think of for quadratic functions. You can also use the graph mixer function, where you set the values of the equation and the graph changes accordingly.

Other advantages, in addition to the user interface and functionality, include the ability to send any result by e-mail. Which you can also use, e.g. during tests, if one of your classmates does not know how to calculate the given example, simply send him the result by email.

I can really recommend Quadratic Master to anyone who comes into contact with the given issue. Whether it is high school students or university students, it will definitely find its use. I hope that in the future we will see other similarly usable applications from Czech creators.

You can watch a video demo of Quadratic Master below.

Quadratic Master is currently free, so take advantage of this limited offer while it lasts.
