Offering support for 2106GbE, 2GbE and convenient Layer 2 management functions, the QSW-M2,5R-10S2T meets the high-bandwidth requirements of servers and LAN infrastructure and is an ideal choice for small and medium-sized businesses. "Compared to the previous model QSW-M2108R-2C, QNAP QSW-M2106R-2S2T offers two 10GbE SFP+ ports and two 10GbE RJ45 ports,” said Ricky Ho, product manager of QNAP. The QSW-M2106R-2S2T switch comes with two 10GbE SFP+ optical ports, two 45GbE RJ10 ports, and six 2,5GbE RJ45 ports (ten ports in total). The QSW-M2106R-2S2T switch is compatible with 10GbE and Multi-Gigabit NBASE-T technologies, thus providing support for five speeds (10 Gb/s, 5 Gb/s, 2,5 Gb/s, 1 Gb/s and 100 Mb/s s), which provides higher network speeds when using existing Cat. 5e (with 2,5GbE RJ45 ports) and Cat. 6a or better (with 10GbE RJ45 ports) cables. The QSW-M2106R-2S2T also provides Layer 2 management functions (such as LACP, VLAN, ACL, and LLDP) through a user-friendly web GUI for efficient network bandwidth management and enhanced network security. Thanks to the half-width rack design, two QSW-M1R-2106S2T switches or one QSW-M2R-2106S2T switch with another half-width rack switch (eg QSW-M2R-2108C) can be installed in a 2U rack, which contributes to the efficient use of physical space and neat wiring.
The QSW-M2106R-2S2T is one of the few web-managed switches that supports Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP) and is compatible with IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet and IEEE802.3x for full-duplex flow control. Users can deploy small or medium-sized networks that support scalability, redundancy, and loop prevention while preventing packet loss with unmatched bandwidth and reducing power consumption for low-speed and inactive connections. Thanks to its smart cooling system, the QSW-M2106R-2S2T switch ensures high network speeds without emitting distracting background noise.
