QNAP Introduces Web-Controlled QSW-M12XX 10GbE L2 Switches with Great User Experience

Press Release: QNAP® Systems, Inc., a leading innovator in computing, networking and storage solutions, last week introduced a series of QSW-M12XX 10GbE L2 web-managed switches with models QSW-M1208-8C, QSW-M1204-4C a QSW-M804-4C. With practical Layer 2 network management features, small businesses can achieve an entry-level network management solution that enables efficient use of bandwidth.

The QSW-M1208-8C switch comes with four 10GbE SFP+ ports and eight SFP+/RJ45 combo ports (twelve ports in total). The QSW-M1204-4C switch comes with eight 10GbE SFP+ ports and four SFP+/RJ45 combo ports (twelve ports in total). The QSW-M804-4C switch comes with four 10GbE SFP+ ports and four SFP+/RJ45 combo ports (eight ports in total). All three models are compatible with 10GBASE-T and Multi-Gigabit NBASE-T (10G / 5G / 2,5G / 1G / 100M) network speeds, allowing users to enjoy higher network speeds with existing Cat 6a cables. The QSW-M12XX series also provides Level 2 management functions through a user-friendly web GUI for efficient network bandwidth management and enhanced network security.

The QSW-M12XX series is one of the few web-managed switches that support the Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP) and is compatible with IEEE 802.3az energy-saving Ethernet and IEEE802.3x full-duplex flow control. Users can deploy small/medium networks that support scalability, redundancy, and loop prevention while preventing packet loss with unmatched bandwidth and reducing power consumption for low-speed and inactive connections. Thanks to its smart cooling system, the QSW-M12XX series switch ensures high network speeds without emitting distracting background noise.
