This reliable and secure NAS series delivers high cost efficiency with many value-added features, including PCIe expansion, multi-cloud backup, cloud storage gateways, multiple data backup and protection methods, and storage capacity expansion solutions. The TS-x73A series uses the application-based QTS operating system, but can switch to the QuTS hero ZFS operating system to provide users with more choice and functionality.

The TS-x73A series has 8GB of DDR4 RAM (supports up to 64GB, supports ECC RAM) and two built-in M.2PCIe NVMe SSD slots allow users to take advantage of Qtier technology and SSD cache to achieve optimal performance. Two 2,5GbE RJ45 ports can provide transfer rates of up to 5Gbps within port aggregation. Two PCIe Gen 3 x4 slots allow the installation of expansion cards to enhance NAS functionality, such as a 5GbE/10GbE network card, a QM2 network/storage card, a wireless adapter or a SAS/SATA expansion card to connect to TL SAS, TL SATA and REXP expansion drives .
The TS-x73A series also supports graphics cards, enabling optimized graphics calculations and transformations. This can greatly increase the performance of applications such as video editing, 4K UHD transcoding and QTS rendering. Graphics cards can also be allocated to VMs via GPU throughput.
The TS-x73A series supports advanced data storage, sharing, backup, synchronization and protection, helping users to perform daily tasks productively. Block snapshots make data protection and recovery easier and effectively reduce the threat of ransomware. HBS (Hybrid Backup Sync) efficiently implements local/remote/cloud backup jobs and features QuDedup technology that deduplicates backup files at the source, saving backup time, space, bandwidth, and accelerating multi-version backups for greater protection. Qsync enables efficient synchronization between QNAP NAS and connected devices to accelerate workflows.
The application potential of the TS-x73A series can also be expanded by installing applications from the integrated QTS App Center.
