Apple picker Press Release: QNAP® Systems, Inc., a leading innovator in computing, networking and storage solutions, has introduced a 2-bay silent device HS-264 NAS with a quad-core Intel® Celeron® N5105 2,0 GHz processor. Combining NAS functionality with multimedia functionality, the HS-264 features dual-port 2,5GbE connectivity, dual 4K HDMI output, 4K media streaming/transcoding, and on-demand app installation.
The HS-264 supports two 2,5″/3,5″ SATA 6 Gb/s hard drives or SSDs and has 8 GB of RAM memory (non-expandable). With two 2,5 gigabit ports (2,5G/1G/100M), the HS-264 has huge bandwidth potential for high-speed backup, sharing and streaming – supporting speeds up to 5Gbps within port aggregation. Two HDMI outputs and two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type A ports enable the connection of various audio/video devices or expansion units, while Intel® AES-NI hardware-accelerated encryption ensures file and data confidentiality without impacting system performance.

The HS-264 includes a variety of rich multimedia applications. Users can easily access, store and manage their photos, videos and audio files using apps WhatMagie, VideoStation a music station. The HS-264 also supports multimedia streaming Plex® or streaming to Android TV™, Apple TV®, mobile and DLNA® devices. Users can also control the HS-264 with the QNAP remote control RM-IR004.
