Apple picker Press Release: QNAP today introduced quad-core models with Intel processors - 2-position TS-253Be and 4-position TS-453Be. With a PCIe expansion slot, the functions of both NAS devices can be expanded according to application needs, including M.2 SSD cache and 10GbE connectivity. The TS-x53Be also features HDMI output and 4K H.264/H.265 transcoding for a better multimedia experience, and snapshot support helps protect data from potential ransomware attacks.

TS-x53Be series with quad-core Intel Celeron J3455 1,5GHz processor (with TurboBoost up to 2,3GHz), 2GB/4GB DDR3L RAM (up to 8GB), two Gigabit LAN ports and support for SATA 6Gb/s hard drives or SSD delivers reliable performance with read/write speeds of up to 225MB/s and maintains the same excellent performance with accelerated AES-NI encryption. The TS-x53Be models support snapshots and allow users to quickly restore data in the event of accidental deletion or modification or a ransomware attack.

Users can install a QNAP card in the PCIe slot QM2 to add two M.2 SSDs to expand SSD cache performance while adding 10GbE (10GBASE-T LAN) connectivity. Coupled with Qtier's auto-tiering technology, the TS-x53Be helps achieve optimal storage utilization, making it an ideal solution for SMBs and organizations. Users can also install 10GbE 10GBASE-T/ SFP+ card, USB 3.1 Gen2 10Gb/s card or QNAP QWA-AC2600 wireless card according to current requirements.
The TS-x53Be series provides five USB Type-A ports (one with one-touch copy) to facilitate the transfer of large files. The series also supports 4K H.264/H.265 dual-channel hardware decoding and transcoding so that users can play their multimedia files smoothly on connected devices. The integrated speaker allows you to enjoy audio notifications and playback, and thanks to the 3,5mm audio jack, the TS-x53Be can be connected to external speakers. Two HDMI outputs support up to 4K 30Hz display. Users can use the RM-IR004 QNAP remote control (sold separately) and use the QButton app to customize button functions for easy navigation.

The TS-x53Be offers a variety of useful applications for everyday tasks from the built-in App Center. "IFTTT Agent" and "Qfiling" enable user workflows to be automated for improved efficiency and productivity; "Qsirch" provides full-text search for quick file searches; "Qsync" and "Hybrid Backup Sync" simplify file sharing and synchronization across different devices; "Cinema28" enables the management of multimedia files and connected media devices from a single platform; "Surveillance Station" offers 4 free channels of IP cameras (up to 40 channels after purchasing additional licenses); "QVRPro” integrates video surveillance functions into QTS and provides user-defined storage for recordings, cross-platform client tools, camera controls and intelligent storage management functions.
With Virtualization Station and Container Station, users can host virtual machines and containers on the TS-x53Be. The storage space can be flexibly expanded with 8-bay (UX-800P) or 5-bay (UX-500P) expansion units or with QNAP VJBOD technology, which allows you to use the unused space of the QNAP NAS to expand the capacity of another QNAP NAS device.
